Anyone know if there are any maps online that show these things? Im gettin tired of trying to look for them cause the further in the game I get the larger the maps become

There are more APODS around the map than the total they tell you to destroy or build. On one of the maps i had to destroy 30 i found at least 40, so exploring the map thoroughly should net you more than enough. Only problem i had was that when playing as the aliens the APODS dont glow so finding them can get a bit annoying.

Yeah as stated above, there are more then you actually need to get. So there are like 50 APODS, but you only need 20 (just an example), and its the same with the rest. PLUS if you leave the area and come back they all respawn.

While reloading the save works for most of the challenges, it doesn't seem to work for the ones where you have to destroy the A-Pods.

i also noticed that a few were up on ledges i could not access had to adjust the angle just to see it.
my advice would be clear the area you wanna search & stick to the paths. when i had cleared an area i noticed my map flashing red so i knew there was a baddie about, i was bored and thought id see how the sky looked in 3D when i noticed the lil sod sat on a ledge (like i said you cannot climb up to them) with the APOD next too him. Hope this helps |

These arent that hard, when u run into RDA fighters their is normally at least 1 or 2 around that area so if u just look in the bushes or near rocks and that they are normally their

is there a map showing the amp suits anywhere, i have found 7/10 on the hanging gardens but i have been everywhee and cannot find the last 3 i need, worst of all the areas have changed into the over-coloured areas so it's even harder to spot them now.

think i will give up with this, im not searching all over again looking for A-pods, i have been all over the map on 1 planet and only have 10/25, this game is so stupid when it comes to the A-pods when playing as the Navvi, it wouldn't be so bad if they were on the map once u have destroyed them, when u collect them as the RDA they show up once collected so there was no reason as to why they couldn't so it for the Navvi too.

The Na'vi definitely lose out on the A-Pod one. At least the RDA had yellow outlines and a red flashing light once you installed it. The Na'vi only have an object that has the same hue as much of the plant life. I just got 21/22 on Ramunong. They're incredibly stingy with the A-Pods there and doesn't seem to give the extra ones like the earlier worlds.

Finally found the last one hidden behind a huge rock near a tower in the RDA Zone. The only "easy" thing about this world's APOD areas is that they're only in areas with RDA buildings and RDA troops. It's not on some obscure path like you may find on other planets. However, still doesn't change the fact that there was probably like 24 total on the planet and you need 22. Very sucky planet.

i only have 1 planet left to do - va'era ramunong, i have 16/22 and then i have completed all the sectors on both sides, but like others have said there are hardly an extra pods to find which makes it harder, shame there's not a map just for this planet.
EDIT: finally got the last ones, i made a map and marked off each path/area before moving on, the last 2 i needed were top right on the map as u walk over a high bridge there's one on the hill to the left and i shot the last one with an arrow from the hill aiming at the area below to the left, i also took out the one on the ledge nearby too where there is a guy up there with it. thank christ all those are done now. the ones on va'era ramunong are definitely the most annoying. im down to 21/22 and cant find the blighter anywhere
like someone said before, if they were marked off on the map once destroyed it would really help and that trick for reloading saves, or just travelling back to the location, that doesnt work at alll on ramunong |

I am also missing 6 on va 'era. I have looked up & down and all I see are the one s I already have taken out. This is a true pain.
I have found them thanks to u guys saying that they are in the RDA bases. Some where hiding behind those steel building and one was behind a tower. Now I can move on. Thank goodness. Those APODS blind in so well some times. Last edited by Specs; 01-14-2010 at 01:30 AM. |

Do you have to do a clean sweep with RDA and Na'vi by the way? |

I think the whole apod thing has issues .... I was advancing on an automated turret and the thing blew up an apod in it's path .... and it did not count.
And now there are no more apods left and they do not respawn. And I can not reset the level or sth ... so there are missable trophies imho |

Had 21/22 for ages on va'era ramunong . finally and quite luckily found the last 1 on top of a very high rock that you have to look up to see and a rda man is standing next to it (map location) near tree of vission in middle of map!

the A-Pod are a pain to find, sometimes they'll get blown up by some CPU and it won't count for your kills...
it's now always the 1st task i do haha, when i get on a new map |

A little tip for anyone hunting for them:
They're considered enemy units, so the A-PODs both get a targeting recticle AND are considered hostile. The latter means that, if you're aiming your bow or do a L-Trigger sommersault, you'll turn to aim at it if you're relatively close to facing it. By 'Aiming your Bow', I mean holding the R-Trigger to ready a shot, then pausing in your movement a moment so that you start zooming in. It'll do the autotargeting thing on hostiles somewhat near your recticle, including A-PODs. Sommersaulting is probably a better idea, however.
