Terminal Reality: Ghostbusters Multiplayer Info

Credit goes to MaicoWin for sending me this link for Terminal Reality's Ghostbusters Multiplayer post (which was moved out of their forums section). Below is the current link, as well as the actual info within that link (just in case it gets deleted again). I hope this helps.

http://www.terminalreality.com/ghost...vements-guide/

Unlocking PayDay! Achievement

PayDay! : Be the overall top earner in each Xbox LIVE campaign setting.

Only Ranked multiplayer games will count toward unlocking the achievement and will require 2 or more Ghostbusters to start. To achieve PayDay!, you must successfully complete each level in all of the 4 Campaigns while coming in first place.

There are 4 Campaigns, each containing 3 levels:
  • NYC Public Library (Reading room, Basement Stacks, Twisted Stacks)
  • Times Square District (Streets, Office, Rooftops)
  • Museum of Natural History (Rotunda, Mayan, Egypt)
  • Graveyard (Cemetery, Altar, Lost Island)

To obtain PayDay! quickly –
  • Make a team of 3 or more Ghostbusters.
  • Choose one Ghostbuster on the team that will be scoring 1st place throughout all games during each campaign. (The rest of the team needs to ensure they do not pass the 1st place player’s score. The easiest way is by checking their own scores during gameplay by pressing the BACK button).
  • Start a Ranked Campaign and allow one Ghostbuster to achieve first place in each level.
  • Continue this process through each Campaign until all 4 have been successfully finished. The screen must indicate victory for a round or you did not complete the round successfully. (I.E. you must complete all 10 waves of survival)

The Ghostbuster who places 1st throughout all 4 Campaigns should be awarded the achievement just after the last game played.

Unlocking No Job Too Big Achievement
No Job Too Big : Defeat all Most Wanted Ghosts

This achievement longer than most others due to “Most wanted ghosts” having prerequisites that players must meet before the ghost(s) will appear.

Most wanted ghosts” can appear in both instant and campaign ranked games after meeting their appearance requirements.

Some “Most wanted ghosts” will require the Ghostbusters to play a certain amount of rounds of one game mode. (For example: Complete 10 Survival jobs in any Museum levels) This is most easily accomplished by selecting instant games instead of campaigns and choosing the specific level and game mode needed.

To obtain No Job Too Big quickly –
  • Make a team of 3 or more Ghostbusters
  • Start at the top of the Most Wanted Ghost List and work your way down making sure to fulfill any requirements listed for each ghost.
  • Start instant games for “Most wanted ghosts” requirements of playing a number of game mode types.

  • Be in any campaign/instant level for Glutton Slimer to appear (Ghost will not appear in Slime Dunk jobs)
Glutton Slimer Tip:

Glutton Slimer is the most difficult “Most Wanted Ghost” to draw out. The requirements seem easy enough but it’s difficult to know when and what games are being counted toward Glutton Slimer’s appearance requirements. We would suggest getting a total of 60 games played on any job type and ensure you play that job type over its available levels. Then continue into campaigns for Glutton Slimers appearance.

Polar Slimer Tip:

To capture Polar Slimer one Ghostbuster needs to get 20 total points throughout all 6 different Slime Dunk job levels. With a team of three or more Ghostbusters, two of the Ghostbusters can wrangle and move the Slimers to one Ghostbuster who then dunks them in. After this has been done, an instant or campaign match must be started for Polar Slimer to appear.

Ø “Most Wanted Ghosts” do not appear in Slime Dunk games

The achievement No Job Too Big is unlocked after capturing the last “Most Wanted Ghost” on the list.

Ghostbusters Multiplayer Tips

General Tips
  • Save Slime Blower ammo (tethers) for ghosts. Tethering a ghost into a trap will capture it instantly. If the trap is missed, the ghost will still become stunned.
  • A tip for conserving tether ammo: If a target is missed, tap the slime blower button to undo the tether.
  • Green Slime Blower damage is very small (don’t waste ammo on this).
  • When starting a campaign, make sure at least one player specializes in the Slime Blower and another in the Shockblast. Specializing in equipment gives the selected equipment to the player at the start and allows you to level the weapon when you capture ghosts. A high level weapon is simply more effective.
  • Using the wrangle beam, a weakened ghost can be slammed into a trap
  • A stunned ghost cannot be slammed into a trap. (Ghosts become stunned after being slammed)
  • In any game type, pick up power-ups consistently. Power-ups are replaced frequently so don’t be scared to use them often.
  • Golems:
  • Golems have a very big damage range. Even if it seems like the player is far enough from the attack, it is still possible to be hit.
  • Black Slime and Marshmallow Golems have a spit attack that reaches very far and will incapacitate a player in one hit. It can, and will, go through walls
  • When the PKE meter is equipped (Y button), reviving another player will skip the revive animation. This can save precious time and can be the difference in success and failure in a round.

Game Mode Tips
  • Survival
  • Save Shockblast ammo for waves of Golems.
  • Save Meson collider ammo for waves of multiple physical entities (scuttlers and fiends)
  • Paper constructs and fiends do an extreme amount of damage. If overrun, run away and search for a power up.
  • Beware of the Ghost Taxi in the streets of Times Square. It will incapacitate a player in one hit.
  • Black slime on the floor does a severe amount of damage. You can clear it with the slime blower, but it’s probably better to save the ammo for slime tether captures.
  • Stone Angels and Gargoyles can easily incapacitate a player from far away. If strafing, they will aim their projectiles to where they think you will be, not where you currently are.
  • If you are on a golem wave, and only Slime Blower power ups are available, take them anyway. Even if you need to waste ammo. This will allow other power ups to spawn. You just need to be at less than max ammo to pick up power ups related to weapons.
  • Destruction
  • Enemies will disappear upon killing the relic they spawned from.
  • Use the proton stream for green relics
  • Save Meson Collider and Shockblast ammo for Red Relics.
  • If a ghost is blocking a relic, use the slime tether to move them out of the way
  • Protection
  • Always keep at least one person by the disruptor. This person will simply guard and stun any ghosts that come near it. (Slime tether is best for this job).
  • Have the other two (or three) players spread around the room watching out for ghosts.
  • Unlike containment, you are not racing against time. Instead of capturing ghosts, stun them and then wrangle them around the room to waste time. This will force the ghosts to spawn at a slower rate.
  • Save all Dark Matter (Shock Blast) ammo for the last disruptor.
  • During the last disruptor, golems will spawn. These golems need to be continuously frozen while the disruptor powers up
  • The best way to do this is have two players with the Dark Matter gun. One player will continuously freeze the golem while the other destroys the enemies that spawn. When one player runs out of Dark Matter ammo, the other will need to take over freezing the golem. The disruptor should be close to 100% by now, if not continue distracting the golem. Note: This strategy is completely broken if the players standing near the disruptor fire at the golem (thus turning his attention on them and by association the disruptor)
  • There are two exceptions to this strategy
  • In the rooftops, Staypuft will appear once. After being knocked down, Marshmallow golems will spawn.
  • In the cemetery level, Grave Golems will spawn flying skulls. These skulls make this the hardest of all the levels
  • Flying skulls will fly to the disruptor to attack it. Then, they can and will fly under the ground and attack it from there. The only way to get rid of them is by using the Meson Collider; you must use the alternate overload pulse aoe attack.
  • Another issue with the grave golems is that they do not freeze as easily as other golems. Also they are not easily distracted.
  • Containment
  • Since only ghosts spawn during this, the tether gun is the most useful.
  • The hardest part of containment is the first wave. Only one ghost will spawn, making it hard to find. This can waste the most time.
  • Ghosts can also be caught by freezing them above a trap
  • Any ghost that is glowing orange can temporarily disarm your trap
  • Thief
  • Overload pulse is good for clearing out the middle during the large waves of enemies
  • The artifacts will eventually return to the middle of the room after being retrieved
  • Note the location of exit portals and keep the relics away from them.
  • Slime Dunk
  • Different color Slimers are worth a different amount of points
  • Green Slimer = 1 point
  • Yellow Slime = 2 points
  • Blue Slimer = 3 points
  • Slimers are very easily captured in slime dunk. Simply placing it over the trap will “slam” it in.
  • The player will generate a lot heat each time they shoot the wrangle beam (much more than in other modes) so vent frequently.
Good luck.

well, at least for payday, there are still people that have done exactly what is listed and not gotten it, and there are people that broke their 'rules' and did get it, so it's still a total crapshoot imo

and then they include complete BS like "The requirements seem easy enough but it’s difficult to know when and what games are being counted toward Glutton Slimer’s appearance requirements." - YOU MADE THE DAMN GAME, JUST TELL US WHAT COUNTS

Well...I followed this list & finally got Glutton Slimer to appear. Now, I just need to get PayDay! & Egon's Guinea Pig. 2 people in my party both got PayDay! following this. I just need to find a group to successfully complete each stage. in each campaign.

i did get all the most wanted ghosts finally, and i just now finished my final campaign of getting first in all 3 rounds with successful completions in everything (even saving all 4 artifacts just to be sure) and making sure nobody left during any of the campaigns and...still no payday

i've also successfully completed every job for gozer's (kept track with a spreadsheet) and didn't get that one, either

update: i cleared my system cache, deleted my game save, re-installed the patch, and did all 4 campaigns in order in a single session, top earner in every game. still no payday. so i'm officially done with this game.
