i thought this thread was going to list good methods for fulfilling the requirements. for instance, an easy/fast way to get 100 combat engineer ribbons, which is what i'm looking for.

I agree. I thought this thread was going to list the fastest ways to unlock them, which granted some later posts have supplied some good strategies, so thank you. Just to clarify, the game does list descriptions of what each mutator does whether you've unlocked them or not, in the mutator select screen when you scroll over them.
