Is there any point in leaderboards?

I was getting the Perseverance achievement and say that the top 3 people have all the same exact score.

Now, what is the point in these boards if they just get glitched straight away. It's been like it since the day after the game came out.

It actually hasn't been like that since the day it came out but I see no point in the leaderboards either and no one except the people who made the game can really do anything about it.

I remember playing the trial a day or two after it came out and all there was is over 2 million scores.

The Devs have said on the Signal forums that they are working on a title update to get rid of the glitched scores. No timetable unfortunately.
