Time Trial Video Guides
This is a compilation of video guides for the time trials for Tomb Raider: Anniversary. The current guide doesn't have any specific advice for the time trials, so I found these to be very, very useful.
All of the videos were posted by the YouTube user silverRagout. He finishes most of them with plenty of time to spare, so you can watch for a couple of minutes, replicate his moves, and you should be able to finish the time trials after one or two tries. I agree with the strategy of the current guide concerning finishing the Lost Island time trials first. The Golden Shotgun cheat that you unlock can kill any enemy in the game, including bosses like the T-Rex, in a single shot, saving you plenty of time. Good luck. Thanks for posting these. It's nice to have them all in a single location for easy reference.
I really hate time trials, but these have helped me immensely. I cut it pretty close on St Francis' Folly and Tomb of Tihocan, finishing each with less than 30 seconds to go.

Thanks for these videos. Immensely helpful. Just want to add that using the golden shotgun is definitely the way to go.
However, for the 2 centaurs at the end of the greek level (Tomb of Tihocan) it doesn't do a one shot kill like it does with the T-Rex. My advice here is to use the shotgun to deplete their health gradually and when they cast their stone gaze just face away from them. This avoids you getting turned into stone and potentially getting shattered when they kick you and losing precious time. Also, make sure you have at least one Large Medikit handy when you go into this boss fight and you should do it comfortably

Agreed. I was a little disappointed when the Golden Shotgun didn't kill them outright, but it still does massive damage to them once you pull their shields off, so if you're pressed for time, you may want to take that approach because it can be slightly faster.

When I was doing level 2: Obelisk of Khamoon I found a shortcut that will take like a minute or more off of your time. When you get to the third switch and after you have pulled it (@ 5:39 in video 1/2) instead of backtracking like it shows in the video just hang off the side and drop down in the water and then climb up the ladder thats to the right and jump over to the final door and continue.

this is a huge help. crappy story... i was doing the st francis folly, its like a 23 minute run, got to the last gate where you pull the block down to jump over the gate... stupid block rolled one time too many and i couldn't get up over the gate. couldn't do crap about it but start the whole run over... bs!

time trials suck

St. Francis Folly is a RIDICULOUS time trial. Not only is there very little room for error, it's incredibly long and even more dull.
Fucking hate this game. Worst Tomb Raider on the 360.

these will def help. qustion since i havent started the trials yet. does the counter keep going when you pause the game. i know it doesnt during main play but what about time trials
