We need a achievement guide for the North American release as they are different achievements from the japanese version

So far following that JP guide I've been able to mark off a few of the secret ones. Just a few, mind you.

I don't suppose you'd mind sharing what the secret achievements you know of are, would you? So far I've only managed to get one:

Just Barely! 10G
Cleared any stage with 0.5 lives and 0 bombs. (Secret Achievement) Xbox 360 / Arcade


On an unrelated note, does anyone know if this bit from the guide for the Japanese version applies to the US version as well?

quick tips for the achievements:
- disable automatic savings. Otherwise achievements with tally counts (like smash the car 10 times, bath mania, absorb 65.000 suicide bullets) won't work.

I'd hope that is fixed in the US version since it sounds like a glitch, but some confirmation would be nice.


EDIT: Make that two secret achievements I have gotten:

I Can't Hurt a Friend! 5G
Waited for Sakura to explode while playing as Windia. (Secret Achievement) Xbox 360 / Arcade

EDIT2: Er... Make that three secrets. For some reason this one didn't unlock till my 4th playthrough even though I know I paused a few times before that.

Everything's Stopped! 5G
Pressed the pause button during a stage. (Secret Achievement) Xbox 360 / Arcade

Score has reached 100,000,000 points. (Secret Achievement) Xbox 360 / Arcade (10 g)

MBL 1.1's Hidden Challenge
Score has reached 10,000,000,000 points in Mega Black Label 1.1 mode. (50 g)

Mother...
Chose to stay in Gilverado with Sakura.(Secret Achievement) MBL (15 G)

Watch replays for the MBL 1.1 Challenge achievement, it isn't as bad as it sounds. I'm ranked 4th ATM and made a ton of mistakes toward the end and still got it. Doing well on the Ice Palace is key.

Mother has to be done in Local co-op in MBL Xbox360 mode (or arcade? Doesnt work in MBL 1.1). First player selects whoever, 2nd player selects Sakura. The first player selects the first option, to go home when the game ends. Then sakura's ending starts after that, giving you the achievement. This is an achievement new to the North American version.

It's probably safe to assume that the 20G and 50G ones that follow this are the 200M and 300M achievements same as in the Japanese version, so with those discovered it just leaves one 25G achievement unknown.

I dunno. Considering you had to score up to 100 billion in MBL 1.1 for the Japanese version and the only one for the US release is just 10 million, maybe not? The point values do match up, though.

The one 25G left over will be interesting to figure out. I just hope it isn't related to Bloody Jitterbug or else I'll never get it.

If it's the same requirements as the Japanese version, then no. All the Japanese ones must be done on the default settings.

So thats 10 Billion? Crazy. Also can you get Mother online? Because I only have 1 controller unless I can make my Guitar Hero controller work and let Sakura die repeatedly.

Also how do you make Sakura explode for that other secret achievement?

you can't get any of the achievements online. But you should be able to use your guitar to pick Sakura from the beginning and let her die, then continue right before you beat the game.

Also, don't attack Sakura at all, and she just explodes after 10-11 cycles.

I really wish I was better at shooters but this game is still a blast. Maybe I will have some impetus to get better now!

Not sure if it was mentioned already, but you can get two ending achievements at once: Start a 2-player game, then right before you kill the last boss, join back in with the second controller and you'll get both endings for the characters and decision you made. Cuts the playthroughs down from 8 to 4 on Xbox 360 Mode. Only player 1 gets the achievement though when I was playing, so 2P gets shortchanged.

Hey, Gunstar!

Has anyone tried to see if you can get the 1cc achievements with characters by having a second player join in and bomb the hell outta the last bosses? Right now I can only 1cc with Rosa... I can regularly get to the last stage and sometimes Jitterbug with everyone else, but from there I just lose it.

Is online Co-op supposed to disable the achievements for both players?
I finally played X360 co-op with a friend the other night and we both got 0 achievements after finishing that game mode (this was his very first time playing the game so he had 0/1000 afterwards).

Hi I need your help guys to get some achievements. How do you enter the extra Stage called George where you battle the Twin Wyrms.

Also to trigger Sakura's Explosion, you simply need to wait, till she makes all her attacks sequence 10 times?

And how can I manage to pick Life-Recovery Items? Where are they located or Wtf xD ?

It's not too hard to get. Very fun, actually.

It's done in MBL 1.1, so that score racks up very fast.

The 100,000,000 achievement for X360 mode is much harder, even though it's a lot less points. =P

Odd that the Guide shows the way to "Getting Familiar" is to continue in 1.1. I got it by moving the familiar with the right stick in 1.1, as the description says to do. Was the first thing I did when I started 1.1.

I found out that you can die and simply continue on and still obtain the achievement.
