Purchase DLC twice?

I apologize if this has already been asked, but i haven't found clear information about whether you have to buy this DLC for each game, or just once.

You have to buy each version seperately. That's two lots of 560MSP.

Taking the michael basically as the achievements are basically the same on both games and each has a glitched achievements.

Try it for Left for dead 2 first to see what you think but it is basically just more of the same

wow... thats really stupid IMO, because last i heard that it worked for both games, and now its seperate... i shoulda waited for it to go on DOTW instead of wasting points... thanks for the info though.

So to keep a completion on both games, i Would have to buy the same DLC twice as well as completing the achievements on both games..?? =.=

to play the sacrifice, you only have to buy it once

but the achievements you earn for one version will not carry over to the other version

for example, i have the sacrifice for L4D2 and have gotten 3 of the achievements, but these achievements only count for L4D2

That's clever marketing on Valve's behalf. If you really only want to buy it to play it, then it's really a matter of choice. However, if you want to maintain your 100% complete status on both games, you have to download it twice.

I'm personally willing to sacrifice (no pun intended) my 100% on Left 4 Dead because I am not buying the DLC twice and I prefer to have the remastered version of No Mercy on L4D2.

I think it's because they're ports from PC. Valve probably forgot about that since it comes free on PC anyway.
