DO NOT BUY THIS DLC! It is absolutely horrible! It is a waste of $5! The My Bobblehead mode is incredibly buggy and the HR Derby is not very fun.
In fact, this entire game is a disappointment! |

I can say I agree with this statement right here. Took them soooo long to release some DLC for the game. I dont believe Im gonna get it, doesnt seem worth it for the Gamerscore or the game in general.

Read my guide for the DLC. The Simulate feature is not in the My Bobblehead Mode! So you have to play every damn game to get the 5 years Achievement! That is over 800 games! I emailed Konami and told them my displeasure, but I doubt I hear anything back from them. I really wish I would have downloaded the trial before buying this game. What a waste of $15! I wish I would have bought Trenched instead!

I'll hold off from buying the dlc unless a solution is found. Is thier a fast game option when your in an actual game?

Nope. However, the game only takes about 1 minute to complete because you only play as your player when he hits, but that will take way too long to play in over 800 games!

Give it some time, someone might come up with some sort of solution.

Personally, I dont see 20 GS a fair trade off for playing 800 games. This would seem to me like one of the achievements on a game worth around 100 or something. If they are gonna make these crazy achievements, atleast make it worth getting. Trying to make the money of DLC I suppose.

Is it just me or is yeras not a word? They have it spelt like that in 2 achievement descriptions. I think they mean years but why spell it yeras?

The fact they turned 2 modes that should have been in the original release paid DLC is beyond ridiculous! I don't know why I bought it!

The game it self is good in my opinion. I like the designs of the stadiums, they look realistic and colorful.

So when you download the DLC and set up the My Bobble mode, there is no option there for the games to be "Skip" like in regular Season mode?

I really wish I would have saw this thread before I bought the DLC. The good thing for me is I haven't played it yet so it won't screw up my percentage but the bad thing is I'm out 400 point unless this problem is fixed

Just play the game. I played a whole month in one hour so it will not take long.

Some "achievements" have to be earned I guess.

Anyone tried being a starting pitcher or a relief pitcher? Should be able to skip quite a few games that way. Maybe the games you start you could quickly sub a different pitcher in and it would then skip that game. Might be a way to "simulate" the season.
Edit: Looks like the fastest way is to pick a closer and just let the games simulate each game until you are needed. Last edited by Lord Dirt; 07-18-2011 at 03:29 AM. |

That is by far the fastest way to get through a season. I am currently trying for the World Champions achievement and then I am hoping maybe the simulate option will be there for seasons 2-5 (I can dream!)

There isn't, I got to the World Series as Brian Wilson last night (woot!) and it rolls over to the next season with spring training and everything... I think you'll have to invest ALL the time, but I agree closer is the fastest way to get through the season

why not just make a terrible bench player, who isnt a starter or a pitcher, that will never get to play rather than even using a closer, I happen to like the mode so I play but if I get bored after season 1 this is the route im going.

If you have a turbo controller like a Hori it can help immensely for this achievement. Here's what I did:
- Pick a position player. I picked Carlos Ruiz of the Phillies so I could get the achievement for winning the World Series in My Bobble mode as well. - Set the hitting/batting function to "Auto" in the settings, and the computer does the hitting for you. - Set the controller to turbo the "A" button, and it will advance through the season, automatically starting a new game as the previous one finishes. The downside of this is that you still have to keep an eye on the game because if someone from either team gets a walkoff hit or home run, a postgame highlights package will loop (you need to hit B to stop it, so your A turbo is ineffective). Even with that downside, this method will allow you to do something else like watch a movie or read while only occasionally glancing at the game. Is there a way to turn the postgame highlights off? If so, it would allow people to leave the game on overnight. |
