Some of the game play trailers from GT look pretty cool but it appears they've gone the way of a button mashing action game.

It will be a fun game for me as I love the sleek new look of tron, and yes it is based off the game for looks, but story wise, no clue. I hope there's some free-roaming portions in the game where I can just ride around on my sexy light cycle with my custom-colors, that would be fun. And the gear their releasing is awesome defiantly want that Tron Xbox 360 controller.

The movie is slated for a December 17th launch and the game is slated for December 7th at the moment. The game is supposed to be a storyline that bridges the gap between the new movie and the original, but not a whole lot else is known about it.

I'm disappointed with the route they took for this game. I remember playing 2.0 Killer App back on the xbox and I thought it was an awesome game with a ton of potential for sequels, but it seems like they've done away with all of that for the button-mashing 3rd person action romp it is. Looks like tron got the typical movie tie-in makeover, which is beyond disappointing for me I hope it's still enjoyable as I'm a huge fan of everything Tron, but I may have to pass on this if it doesn't shape up from what we've been shown so far.

I think it is based on the Movie, But you play as an anonymous Charater, named "ANON"... Go Figure, huh? Too Bad Xbox hasnt made any games where you could use the XBOX camera to superimpose you face onto a character. but the XBcam sux anyway lol but still that would be fun

Yeah the movie is suppose to come out in Dec 17th I'm excited for this game! Hopefully it doesn't suck like most movie games especially Disney's.

The game takes place between the original film and the latest release so it's got potential to be not simply a video game version of a few events in the film.

What I like from what I've seen so far is it really as a "Tron Feel" to it. It looks modern but it also looks like the Tron I knew and loved as a kid.

You only have to worry about levelling up one avatar as you access multiplayer by heading to a terminals in the single player game (you can probably simply go straight to MP as well).

This means that any levelling up you do in game carries with you to MP and any levelling up and bonuses you achieve in MP come back with you in SP.
