New xbox 360 will not play game

I have just finished playing F.E.A.R. and F.E.A.R. 2 on my system, but when I put in F.E.A.R. Files the system lists it as a DVD, and if I press play it comes up with a screen saying “ To play this disk, put it in an XBOX 360 Console” I have a new XBOX 360 (black 250g) don’t know if that makes a difference.

Can anyone help? Has anyone else hade this problem?

Ha I figured out a way around it, I turned on my XBOX 360 without signing in and it registered it as F.E.A.R. Files so I installed it to the hard drive, once it was done installing I signed in to my profile and it listed it as a DVD again but now when I push play it goes to the game. Also I tried to play the game under a different gamer tag and profile and same problem, I don’t know what caused this issue but a least this seems to work.

Guy your high i have the new xbox slim 250gb and i put in Fear files and it played fine without installing it and then i installed it to hd with no problem

It just does it sometimes nothing to do with chic console
