This boils down to one thing: Developer Responsibility. In the good old days of PS1 etc., there was no internet connection. Therefore games couldn't just simply be patched left, right and centre. Developers had to rigoursly test their games to iron out the flaws (in most cases) so as not to let their reputation slip. The increase in internet gaming has allowed standards to slip in some developers now, because a patch is relatively easy to implement.
Ok I am being a little bit harsh, many games are virtually bug free and amazing to play. Others have bugs that make them even funnier (Oblivion IV anyone?) to play. I'd just like to see more rigourous developement and testing of games nowadays. If I'm to pay top dollar (well, pound, I'm British), then I want my moneys worth. Well, that's my two cents anyway.. P.S. Got my 'Sacrifizzle'. Tempted to burn L4D1 disc in memorial of the all the anger it caused me. |

they'd probly fix it if xbox live wasn't such a "trainwreck".
http://www.gamesradar.com/pc/half-li...88000000035144 I think it's more of a F U to M$. The fans are just collateral damage. Should've bought it on Steam .
