Stuck on level 5

I am trying to get the red key in level 5. It is a the very top of a platform with spider monkey stairs below it and electric zapper things sliding back and forth.

The thing is, there is no way to jump to that platform. I am at a complete loss on how to get the red key?

Any help is appreciated.

I am also stuck on this bit, and need help, as my son can't finish the game!!!
