Is the 'S' rank the highest or lowest?

Title explains all.

I thought the 'S' rank could of been the lowest so that to get a colour on the 'CFA-44' you had to play all missions on all difficulties.

But if it is the highest rank...im screwed

In all other games I've played, S Rank is typically the Highest you can get. (E.g. Resident Evil)

S is the top rank you can achieve and believe me when i say that getting all S ranks is TOUGH!

All you do is seek and destroy....

Depends on your skill.It's achieveable if you start out with the lowest rank and work your way up through the difficulty ranks you can do it.I did it that way but i am an Ace Combat nut,i got every copy from part 2 to 6,including a japanese copy of part 3 and the flight stick bundle that came with part 4 (or was it 5) for the PS2.

I've never played a game where S rank is anything but the highest
