can I do individual missions on Hardcore or must it be on campaign?

I just did Lvls 3 and 4 on Hardcore solo just to have the save send me back to the beginning of Lvl 3 and it kind of pissed me off, so I'm wondering if I can do the latter missions from that mission select area in the menu and still have it count or whether I must play them all consecutively via Campaign mode

Thats where I screwed up. I chapter selected and messed up the whole achievement for the campaign. You have to play it consecutively, If you exit out just go to continue/resume campaign. Hope this helps you man.

this games campaign is so messed up, they could have done better with the online co op mode
