I bought this last night and played for 30 minutes, getting to the 2nd game with the Ferry woman.
- The AI randomly passes when they shouldn't - before the game is absolutely decided.. Sometimes, the AI even passed when it needed to take away the last liberty of a group of mine, letting me connect with another group and make life when I shouldn't have been able to. - The perspective irritates me. Yes, the 3D perspective is pretty but a top-down view would be far more intelligible. I would have really liked the option to change. - The puzzles seem slightly easier than the games. Maybe that's just me, since I knew the game already? - The concept of eyes is never introduced. When you first need to ensure a group has 2 eyes in a puzzle, whilst it was the simplest thing for me, I noticed the absence of a proper introduction for what 'eyes' are and why they're important to staying alive. - The story is mediocre but nice to have. I'm not actually on Xbox Gold so didn't play online. What's the handicap system like when playing online? |

And I can't even get past the first puzzle. For some reason it won't let me move where it wants me to capture the white stone in one move.

No I didn't!
Thanks for the tip. I only tried the face buttons and shoulder buttons. Can't help you with your problem, unfortunately. What exactly happens? I just went to the obvious spot, held A and voila... |

It must have been a game glitch. It would NOT let me move the 'cursor'. I just deleted save file, started over, and then no more problems. have been using a few go-playing computer programs to try and help me beat the level 5 AI...because this game is foreign to me, no pun intended. I suck at it.

I wish I had read about that eyes business before reading this. I'm stuck on the first real game with the Ferry Lady. And I realised that she kept making eyes, and thought, "Those are familiar." Then a few minutes later I was completely buggered by them.

I skipped over the puzzle bits. I remembered seeing the eyes somewhere, but I didn't give it much thought. I kept losing with the Ferry Lady, and so I figured out what she was doing to beat me. She made those eyes and she plays along the outside. I play chess, so control the middle is more how I think.
