Data Miner??

Im trying to get data miner and i was wondering if there is a terminal that you can keep locking and unlocking to easily get the achievement?

I don't think you can lock it yourself, but I'm fairly sure that the terminal in the Megaton tavern resets after you've unlocked it and left. But I don't know how long you have to leave it or whether unlocking it multiple times would count.

I wouldn't worry about it though, put plenty of points into the science skill and you should find more than enough terminals in your travels to get the achievement. Also don't forget to go book hunting for copiesof the Big Book of Science for the bonus skill points. And remember to save before each terminal attempt so that you can retry until you get it right.

NO but vaults have a fair ammount of computers.

If you're going for all of the other achievements just play through the game and hack every terminal you see. You'll get it eventually. If you just save before each one you'll be fine.

yeah, taking a quick peak at your cheevos, you have a lot of game play left to go. I got it just by going for every terminal I could find. When you go to do your good play thru, if you haven't gotten it already, you will then.

Saving before each terminal isn't necessary.. at all. It's a lot faster to just pick three words, and if you don't select the right one, just back out and try again. Even the "Very Hard" terminals can be solved in a matter of minutes, or less, when you get into the groove of things.

True, you don't need to, but if you're anything like me then it's not a bad safeguard against accidentally selecting one too many words or being overconfident on the last word and getting it wrong

Dont even attempt to guess the last word
Just back out
Easiest way i found is just to choose the first 3 words every time and if you dont get it back out and try again. It will unlock pretty quickly.
The most i had to open the terminal to try again was about 7 times
law of averages has to be one of the first 3 sooner or later

But saving often is a good idea anyway...lost count of the times ive got too immersed in the game and forgot to save, then I die and have to redo about 10 - 15 mins of gameplay doh!!!
