Glitched Seed?

Looking around my garden I came upon this startling discovery. I found a gem seed many times larger than usual. No really. It's big. Like as tall as Seedos or any other character. Upon research I can't find anything about large seeds so I was wondering if this was just a glitch. Sorry, I can't get a picture.

You might rarely get a giant seed if you have mine in your garden. It's the same as a normal seed, just really big.
