Replay @ Elite difficulty vs. New Game?

Do have to start a new game to get the 'cheevos for finishing the game on elite/normal after I have beat on easy, or can I replay missions with the difficulty changed?

No, you don't have to start a new game. You can replay missions with the new difficulty.
