Anyone remember about what chain they got Monster Dismantler at? I'm at chain 1302 and hoping to get it soon.

If I'm not mistaken it requires 500 monster dismantles. Hope this helps

I think it is 500 monster dismantles, where are you grinding trying to get it?
I have heard the best places are wyrmskeep or the bottom floor of the ancient ruins.

Nah, the best place is in that place at the beginning of disc 2, the shore that begins wit an "F" (Forth-something maybe).You can find two crabs, and then three more a bit further; then, on the left, there are two coyote-like animals. All of them will always get you very nice splits (sometimes nothing, but most of times at least 2-3 up to 6).

Anyway, it's *not* a matter of chain, it's just when you click A to split an enemy into components, in spite of keeping it to sell. Also, it doesn't mean anything if you already have 99 of the components.

The wikia has a list of all the guild quests, it shows that some of the rare monster quests differ between PC and XBOX, but both have the same amount of guild quests.

I always thought battle chain increased the chances of a capture... I know that linking multiple monsters together does.

Just beat absolute conqueror so this is where I'm at aswell. To me it seems like a high link actually lowers. It seems like 3-4 is the sweet spot, then when I go over that I always get only 1 or 2 whereas if I keep linking 4 at once I get like 7 a battle. So I dunno but just my experience.

I heard somewhere that the dismanteled count still runs through multiple playthroughs. Is that right? I started this last year when it came out but got discouraged when I found out there was no way I could beat the fallen/absolute conqueror on that playthrough. But I know I dismanteled like 300+ monsters on that playthrough. So it'd be really helpful if that was true. Kind of sucks they made this an an achievement but there is basicly no way to get this and build your character correctly for those 2 bosses.

1st issue: Can anyone confirm, that the duke of ghor isn't supposed to die? I'm not sure, but i think i missed one conversation between the base battles. He passed away in Königsdorf, i guess. Can't meet him in in Ghor anymore.. WTF.

EDIT: solved by completing events in darken forest. Duke of Ghor quest also done.

2nd issue: The UFO quest isn't unlocking, i see Loki standing in the pub, but no red bubbles above his head - again :-(

EDIT: due to a load/save/load progression i missed the marshall quest - got it now. Thx 3z3k13l !!

Hello, I'd like to know if there are any other conditions--or a fix on a condition already listed--to unlocking The Villain and the Sightless Girl side quest than the following:

A. Recruit Loki at the Union of Golden Chalice of Athlum
B. Visit Underwalt for the first time in the second disk
C. Speak to Loki three separate times as he stands to the right of the opening to the Union of the Golden Chalice (which can be done by re-entering the city of Athlum x3 entries from the World Map)

Yeah baby, just got Monster Dismantler. On either my 275th or 276th dismantle since finishing the game. 1000G now. I'm pretty happy, this sat at 40G for about 7 or 8 months before I stated playing it properly a couple of weeks back.

Just got Absolute Conqueror. Battle Rank 110. Took me 5 tries of configuring my unions, and him not casting that spell that gives you every status ailment. Only thing left is monster dismantler.

Wait, so if I split a monster and I already have 99 of all the components it splits into, it doesn't count? That would be horrible if true. No way to make a big chain.

Edit: have chained about 1300 since finishing the game, and nothing yet. One of the more annoying achievements I've had to get. On a brighter note I escaped graad on Infinite Undiscovery (Infinity mode). Will probably mix in some blue dragon achievements while going for this, as it drives me crazy, like the filthy rich achievement in IU.

ok guys for those of you who are still looking on this forum and still cant find a good way of getting the blood hunter acheesement you have to hire Caedmon and pick uphis quest in the first disk called The Silver Falcons : part 1, you will be thrown into battle will an onslought of about 32-35 Jhana fighters and various other variations of Jhana and when ur done BINGO u get ur acheesement ;]

oh and if your worried you will b owned during the fight dont worry it wont happen unless ur a super low BR and have no abilities at all i did it at i think it was like ....... BR 25-32 and owned the shit out of the Jhana lol

also another thing that is pissing me off is that acheesement for killing the Dawn Ruler that SoB wont effin show up ive killed his boyfriend the Royal Guard about 16 times and killed that cobra thing 26 times when will this bastard show up!!!!!!!!!

i made it to the bases, grinded my stats, cleared the bases did a ton of sidequests and made a huge dent in a week. then i entered undewalt too early and lost myself that whole week of play time. agh, i need to finish this game but i have no ambition to do it
