No but I really want to get into it. A friend of mine just got a job out in Colorado and he was able to get a jump start on me with this... and I am very jealous.
Any recommendations for someone that is interested in getting into climbing?

i used to do it casually...only indoors. there was a nice place by where i grew up. its kind of spendy if you do not have your own equipment, because you have to rent everything but its quite fun. and it is a hell of a workout too...
and the nice thing about doing it indoors, is each wall has its own degree of difficulty already established. so you'll know if you can even try or not just by reading first. whereas, outside, its all up to you. i think the best i ever did was like a 5'9 or somethin. |

outside has difficulties too, but i find they can be varied from the difficulty some people say, and at the place i go people get given equipment only if they book lessons but luckily enough i have enough kit to go multi pitch outdoors with one of my mates.
and yes its a good workout infact one of the most fat and carbs (i think) burning sports there is. |

ahh ok sorry, first id take a few lessons or something and get started that way incase you dont like it, if you do carry it on though ideal gear would be some rock shoes, harness and a chalk bag if you want one and a belay device.
