Weapons Parts question

For some reason I cannot get the .50 Barrett Cal

Any help?

The only part I need for the Weapons achievement. I tell the kid to get the gun, he gets the gun, he then gets shot and no gun to pick up.

And the Glock G18, I did 3 positives and It won't unlock for me?
