Has 100K lost its significance?

Regardless of the amount of people that have reached 100, 200, 300, or even soon 400k, it does not diminish the fact that A LOT of time and skill goes into getting 100,000 points. Think about how many hours it took you (who have done it) to accomplish it. We are talking about 1000's of hours! Now, imagine putting those 1000's of hours into a project that could exhibit a tangible reflection of all that time and effort. We would not trivialize that accomplishment just because more and more projects are being created with the time it takes to get to 200,000 points!

If that did not make sense, let's try this analogy: do we still value Babe Ruth even though Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds have hit more homers than him? And will he eventually become insignificant when more and more people pass his totals? The answer is, NO, NEVER, NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
God forbid A-Fraud will pass them all someday...ugh!

Ok, I've got to chime back in even though this thread I started is getting old. For one, Hank Aaron is still the REAL homerun king since Barry Bonds cheated and will be even if A-Roid passes him in a few years. This also holds true for the single season record; Roger Maris is the champ and Sosa, McGwire, and Bonds all cheated. Its kind of like all those guys that cheated before the resets to get ahead of Stallion83 even though anyone that knows something about pointwhoring realizes that Stallion is the legit number one. My opinion of 100k+ still hasn't changed, its quiet the accomplishment no matter how many people pass the milestone.
