Liverpools season will be over by midweek. Leicester beat QPR yesterday, 2-1, went 2nd in the table, but I think were back down to 3rd after todays matches. Chelsea for the premiership this year I think. I hope Liverpool don't finish in the top 6, would make my year haha.
It's already over. They're facing an uphill struggle to qualify for the Champions League knock out stages this year, they're well and truly out of the title race with 6(?) losses to their name already... The Liverpool faithful seem to be losing faith in Benitez as well...

Yep. Over. Forget it.
Chelsea will win the league and Arsenal will put up the main threat. If they had a decent holdin midfielder and a goalie they would maybe even win it. United have played poorly all season but gotten through but we'll struggle to maintain a title challenge. I've watched Un ited since before Fergire and I've never seen such an un-creative midfield. Anderson who I love is the only hope, yet he hardly gets a game. Giggs is ace but he's old and though he plays well he won't cut it against the top sides.
Anyway, enough of this crap. Who had a good night last night?
I must admit I am not a Liverpool fan (not many Forest fans are for obvious reasons) and it is nice to see them struggling. I still however cannot for the life of me understand why the fans still back Benitez. Liverpool fans know their football if nothing else so why do they still think he is their saviour. The Liverpool board have given him shitloads of money to spend over the years, he has bought about 200 or so players in his few years in charge and Liverpool still only have 4 decent players. When Gerrard or Torres are injured they are fucked. And they still havnt won anything apart from a flukey Champions League win when they were 3 nil down at half time. Genius!

Good stuff yesterday, Man United win at home and Liverpool lose away. Still not convinced of United's team and prospects this year, we are winning the majority of games but as JP said we have no creativity in comparison to other teams Fergie has assembled. But all the same, I have faith. Chelsea and Arsenal looking good, interesting to see how the league looks after Christmas.
Its like a dream come true Arsenal crush Spurs and Liverpool get crushed
i also dont get why liverpool fans back benitez, sure he one the champions league but hes not a football genius hes done crap in the league, spent a lot of money for useless players with the exception of torres and alonso and i guess you could say masherano although his role is just to foul.
And no-one dare try to justify Dirk Kuyt!
Who looks like a gaunt shrek btw

Liverpool do genearrly look like they have gone to pot judging on the results and Spurs, well that's just embarrassing(saw the match i was cringing for 'arry and I can't stand the arrogant tosspot)...so what about Manchester City? A chance to finish in the top 4? IMHO, not on Sunday's performance where they were scond best to Birmingham City. Didn't know how to deal with the threat of Chucho(who was excellent first half) and Jerome. Larsson ran himself into the ground as usual and Johnson and Dann were just outstanding defensively. Not bad for a team that cost less than Man City's strike force. If only McFadden knew how to take a penalty Birmingham would have took all 3 points. Mancity were fortunate to get anything out of the game. Shame Barry Ferguson managed to make an idiot out of himself though.

Watched the United match last night and oh my lord... United were lucky, apart from the last 20 minutes, they were second best... CSKA Moscow's keeper was absolutely amazing, how he's not at a bigger club is surprising...
Real Madrid and AC Milan's group is nice and tight, would be rather interesting to see how that one pans out...
Chelsea and United qualified... Arsenal will be tonight and Liverpool will be out hopefully.

Yeah United were dreadful on Wednesday but seriously did you see that CSKA defence? at 3-1 up their fans were silent. Silent and 3-1 up at Old Trafford! That said it all. I said to my mate with 8mins to go that if we scored we might win and it sounded daft but gary neville was playin right wing! they're whole team had just retreated to the edge of their box 2nd half. the outcome seemed inevitable but not likely with 5mins to go.
we were shite and could have been 4-1 down but CSKA were as naive as any side ever and we fully deserved a draw in the end though we were lucky. Could have had a pen mind.
Liverpool, I almost felt sorry for them, almost. Was cruel though. Would be harsh to take that. They should have won.
The big game on Sunday. We'll be battered if we defend like that against Drogba. Most of my mates are not looking forward to it but I am. These are the games!!
There were so many things wrong with theChelsea - United match it was astounding...
Firstly, the ref was a fucking joke, whilst I have video replays and he doesn't, he missed so many decisions it was silly... Not to mention he produced the wrong card/didn't produce any at all at some points in the game... Drogba got booked for getting kung fu kicked... Amazing.
The players made the whole thing worse, whilst I can understand passion and whatnot, crowding the ref doesn't help and doesn't change the ref's decision.
From a footballing perspective, both United and Chelsea defended well, and attacking wise it was pretty even. If I'm honest either team could have won and we were certainly lucky with the goal... But in all fairness, it does make a change for us to actually get some luck against a notable team...
A good 3 points, even if they'll be sorely contested by the majority of United fans and of course Alex Ferguson.
PS. Andy Gray is a fucking moron.

Right we lost, fair dues, but I can't help but feel hard done by. Referee was inconsistent to both teams, and United just couldn't score when we were bossing the game. I think a draw would've been a more fair reflection on the game, but this result is a real kick in the nuts for Man United. 5 points behind, and a lot of thinking to do before the next match.
Should've been a lot better from United, in terms of finishing, but I am happy enough with the performance as a whole. Fuck this, football is so cruel...
We played really well. Horrible match to lose but we missed our chances. The ref was a clown. Could moan about the pen that wasn't given but we were only gonna get a pen if it was blatant. Same if the game was at OT. This is why I said from day 1 we'd struggle and Chelsea will win the league. We're weak at finishing and Chelsea even when playing average like today always have the threat of a goal.
Drogba wasn't even offside in the end for that goal. Not sure how he got booked for the foul on Evans. What's this all about a guy brushing his teeth in the crowd?
Jimmy Bullard for Hull... Why isn't he on everyone's radar? In my opinion he's really good... Chelsea need to snap him up before the transfer ban gets slapped back on us.

He gets injured every 10 minutes though, in the same league as Micheal Owen only half as effective.
The Manchester United boss was critical of the performance from referee Martin Atkinson during the Red Devils' 1-0 defeat at title rivals Chelsea.
He felt the award of a free-kick which led to the Blues' winner was wrong and branded Atkinson's positioning for the resulting set-piece as 'absolutely ridiculous'.
Ferguson, who has been very vocal in his condemnation of Premier League officials of late, admitted he is starting to lose faith with the men in the middle.
It is understood, however, that his latest outburst will not be punished by the FA as he did not question Atkinson's integrity or suggest there was any bias.
This is ridiculous... Any other manager would have been dragged over the coals. The FA really need to sort their shit out.

Anybody fancy Liverpool tonight? Are they gonna contrinue their terribel run or are they actually gonna get a win? They are doing so badly they just can't lose to Birmingham City cos that always happens when we face a team that are bad they always break their duck against us so for that reason I think Liverpool will win. It'll be 1-0 though.

Oh what a surprise. Alex Ferguson is whining about the referee yet again. Its funny how he never complains about a ref when they win, and united get sooo many decisions go for them it is unbeleivable, plus about 20 penalties a year at Old Trafford. When they are losing they play extra time until they score. Its a joke. United are just bad losers. Nuff said!

In fairness he is entitled to moan on this one, it wasn't a free kick and there was the Drogba push. I'm not a Man Utd fan by any stretch by the way, their fall from brilliance this season has brought nothing but a flicker of joy across my lips. But the manner in which he does it is unbelievable. The man deserves something more than a touchline ban, he's already opened his mouth too much this season and its only November! No other manager moans the way he does, at least Wenger has the old "I did not zee it" routine.
Oh dear for Liverpool, what are they playing at. The first goal they conceded was shocking, second goal. Well actually the second goal was pretty good, also proves the downside of having a tiny man in goal for you. The penalty though. Oh my. Shocking. I hope Ngog gets a touchline ban. If Eduardo got one, he definitely desrves one. Ten minutes left now, lets see what Birmingham have left.
EDIT: Game over, not looking peachy for Rafa. If he crashes out of the Champions League (he will) and doesn't get back in the top 5 by Christmas (he might) then I reckon they'll be accepting CV's come January at Anfield.
Didn't see the Liverpool game - limited to radio but if they really did cheat to get a point...grrr. The guys on the radio WM seemed to think it was a bit of an idiotic Carsley tackle.
I can't help finding it hilarious that Chucho scored a header. Chucho's tiny! Though the lad deserves a goal for his hard work. Apparently the Jerome goal was a stonking shot.
One point I didn't expect to have at the start of the season, although Liverpool, oddly, over the 7 or so years I've been following football, I can only rememer them doing really well agianst us once.

How embarrassing to concede 9 goals, let alone 8 goals in a single half of football. Still, glad Man United continue to hold the record for the biggest winning margin in English football (Man United 9-0 Ipswich anyone)?
I am happy this weekend, much needed victory for Man United and a very convincing one at that. Well done Fletcher for an excellent goal and looking forward to the Champions League game during the week. Chelsea are looking very strong this year, anyone feeling slightly resigned?
I've just seen the highlights of the Wigan vs Tottenham game on Match of the Day. Whats even more astounding than the scoreline is the amount of other chances they had that easily could've gone in in thefirst half. THey hit the bar at least twice and the keeper made a few pretty deceent saves.
Wigan are fucking confusing though. I still don't know how they managed to beat Chelsea and then lose to a crapy team like Spurs.

It could've been 15, not even exaggerating. The sheer amount of chances they had was scary, and I am too wondering how they managed to beat Chelsea, absolutely terrible game from Wigan.
Spurs are a crappy team? You must be an Arsenal fan Keano
Next week's going to be an interesting one. Villa v Tottenham, Arsenal v Chelsea, Everton v Liverpool. I predict more balls in nets than a gay S&M orgy.

It wouldn't be right to make a post about Spurs without having a little dig at them
Not looking forward to playing Chelsea to be honest. After losing to Sunderland, morale defiantely won't be high. Definately a game that we need to win. Losing would make us 11 points behind them!
