Glitch?

I'm on Episode 3 in Stinky's as I'm trying to shoot Jesse James hand into the goo. I've played the PC game before so I know what to do, but it doesnt seem to work for me on the XBLA version. I stand to the left of the hand so its pointing that way and shoot, but the hand seems to get blocked by something so it cant go right anymore. I've been trying to do this for about 20 mins now with no success. Do you reckon its a glitch? Did anyone else have this problem?

Would appreciate any advice.

EDIT: Ok, I'm an idiot lol. I didnt realise that clicking on Stinky would make the hand go down for the final blow.

Was just going to say you need to talk to stinky then shoot the hand again but you figured it out =)
