I have the demo of this game, and I like it a lot, but I feel like once I buy it something else will come up and then I won't be able to get it since I spent my points on this.

Well besides Ikaruga and maybe Joint Strike the XBLA doesn't have many top-down shooters and this one is definitely great. If you like the demo you pretty much know what to expect from the game as it doesn't get significantly harder (unlike e.g. Trials).

The game is short (5 Stages) but has a great replay value. Controls are smooth and gameplay is fluid. If you are going for achievements, all are obtainable with relative ease except Perfect Play (still have to get that one myself but I don't have enough time atm to practice...)

If you are into shoot em ups - go get it without hesitation. If you aren't too familiar with them replay the demo a few times and maybe have a look at Ikaruga first as this is the better of the two and decide then.

Oh yeah, I love scrolling shooters. R-Type, Lifeforce, Abbadox... They're all some of my favourites in the genre.

I just don't know if I want to spend 800 points on five stages, you know?

Well yes, it IS short but tell me which shoot em up isn't :P

All I can say is that I did not regret spending the points on Triggerheart as there are so few games of this genre for the xbox 360 (and Raiden/DoDonpachi won't run on my PAL-console... why do the Japanese always keep the best games for themselves?)

I recommend it, Even Ikagura isn't that long of a game, But to get to the 2 Extra bosses and alternate ending is good for replay value.
It is definitely not your standard Shmup as using the Anchor is far more rewarding in points then regular fire.
yes yes, Exelica(moe moe) and Crueltear(sexy beam) pics are adorable.

I didn't regret it. what Game I do regret is the awful version of Tempest XBLA has, uncontrollable piece of crap.

If your looking for other games, There is Raiden Aces which is a forsale at Amazon, and Raiden 4 is coming out pre-order at Amazon too. Raiden 4 is amazing in the arcade. Aces is 3 pretty damn big games. multiple run through will be needed because of Normal/Boss rush/Expert.

I just keep thinking the next avatar update is going to be AWESOME and I'm going to miss out on it. haha.
