...to get out of town?! What the hell?!

Alright, so get this one. I had two days off from work. In that time, a storm knocks my phone out, so I didn't know ANY of this was going on until a few hours ago when I checked my box at work.

This is what I come to read:

Fill this out. We don't have your Social Security number on file for some reason, and you were reported as an illegal immigrant by a caller you pissed off.

WHOA! WHAT?! What the hell? No...no...What the FUCK?! How about that one? You come into work a natural citizen, and somehow become an illegal immigrant! Apparently someone called a doctor, and because I wouldn't bother the doctor with a refill call, as per directions, the caller then took it upon himself/herself (don't know) to call and get my name. The individual then called the immigration division of the Department of Homeland Security, who then contacted my employer. They provided proof I am no Mexican, which is what I was accused of being, but I guess somewhere along the line the social security number I provided was lost or entered inaccurate, so I had to fill out a paper with ALL my personal information to verify I am a legal citizen to continue residing the United States of America.

Yeah, let me tell you, Weiss is a real mexican name. The fact that my name is friggin' GERMAN should have been clue enough that the caller was full of it.

Could you imagine it? I was sick the past few days from my Tysabri infusion for my MS, and was pretty much walking around in my pajamas. I sleep during the day too, what time do you think DHS would show up at my door? While I'm sleeping. Imagine a veritable swat team knocking my door down as I'm standing in the middle of my apartment in only a t-shirt and briefs wondering what's going on outside. That woulda made a great story for the neighbors...

So yes, I am Apoch Weiss: thread spammer ( Pants), Topic slayer, and all american illegal immigrant. Nice to meet you! I guess the DHS really DOESN'T have anything better to do with their time if they honestly had to pursue this.
