New to this game

Okay i lent this game off a friend and i usually dont like hack and slash games but this one seems pretty good.

I'm new to this game and dont know much about it, any advice you can give me?

Also, i havent been on story mode yet, i've just been playing on free mode just getting used to the controls etc. Do the levels gained from playing free mode continue onto the story mode?

What are your throughts on this game aswell?

Firstly great choice on game to borrow

There is not much to know about Orochi, really - it's a combination of two other well liked games (Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors). A LOT of characters, so if you're one of the people who likes to level characters to the max...then be prepared to spend a lot of time on this game!

To unlock characters you will need to play on Story Mode - There are 4 types of stories, and all are enjoyable. You can also play extra stages (called 2X, 3X etc) to unlock more characters.

To unlock special weapons you need to play on a 3 star level, on either Hard or Chaos (choose hard, it's easier than Chaos.) The special items can be done on easy however

Abilities, each character has 3 of them you can unlock, and each require something different, mostly kill (number) officers or enemies. You don't need all of the characters abilities for the achievement. The max character level is level 99, and you can "mix" two weapons to make 1 stronger, better weapon and so making the character even stronger.
