Unable to get saturday achievement

Anyone know why that wont work?

Because it's not a game day. There has to be actual NFL games happening on the day you log in to get it. Take a look at the achievement guide posted by Pants to get the dates that you can get this achievement (and know, they're all towards the end of the season, after College football is over typically).
