I just got 1015 kills in a single fight saved and got no achievement.

Did you use your lord to get the kills? It has to be with someone other than your main character. Move him to a different fief, then go into battle with a backup general and do it.

AHHH i was about to ask the same question, I then noticed it does say retainer in the achievement and not lord.

Also i presume it doesnt matter what type of battle be it defend/joint attack or anyhting like that....

i have been using my lord and i'm supposed to use a retainer, well, i would have gotten mad if my lord had 1000 KO's and i didnt get it. you guys saved me some trouble.

I used a retainer, No rather than the Lord Nobunaga, and still didn't get an achievement after 1005 kills.

It was during a "Help Ally" battle, would that effect things at all?

Edit: Tried with No again on a standard invasion stage, the achievement unlocked after 1015 KOs.
