waiting for the final weapon to drop - UUUUGGGHHHHH

been grinding the following levels for a month now to obtain my last weapon drop:
3-1 (remix - inferno)
3-2 (normal - inferno)
2-4 (i think) it called "the cube" on inferno

blasted game will not drop the weapon I need

is it best to let the weapon drops just sit there for a while and then pick them up? or pick them up as they fall?

i ask, because it seems like if you leave them there, then maybe the game will drop more variations - i don't know - just a guess.

your thoughts?

Did you get the weapon yet? I have 1 weapon to fall also. I just grind Chapter 2 - Mission 1 and get maybe 2 drops. I am still going for buying all weapons and is the fastest mission to beat.
