Are brotherhood and Revelations relevant?
Ok a little background on my assassins creed history. I had played AC 1 & AC 2 and like both games but never really payed much attention to what was going on always just kind of went Rambo, and had fun. i am no going back and replaying each of the AC games before 3 comes out. My question, are brotherhood and revelations important to the series? Like for instance, would I be missing alot by skipping out on the 2 games? The reason I am asking is because I am 100% each of the games on my completion account but I never really took much interest in brotherhood and revelations, the seemed like the exact same game as 2 or the most part. Anyways I am tired and rambling , but what do you guys think is it important for me to play brotherhood and revelations to get the fullest out of the series? its going to be annoying trying to boost the shit multiplayer =(

Yes, they are part of the Ezio story arc and not just standalone games.

You could probably be ok if you just read up about what happens in the storyline, I felt that brotherhood and revelations were elongated DLC to Ezio's story, the only major plot point that develops is in the end of brotherhood/beginning of revelations. If you really want to you can just play brotherhood, as revelations is more of just wrapping up Ezio's story and really doesn't have to much to do with Desmond other than some confusing background story

Brotherhood and Revelations continue on from AC2 with Ezio's story, I enjoyed them both.
How do you know the MP is shit if you never played it? If you care more about the achievements in terms of boosting etc then don't bother. If you are going to buy it, Brotherhood has DLC to get the 100% and good luck on the 100% sync. Last edited by cjdavies; 09-09-2012 at 09:39 AM. |

Both games are great fun and you're denying yourself some quality titles if you skip them. But are they required? No. Just read the plot on wiki.

There was a big cliffhanger at the end of Revelations. So it's relevant!

If you like Ezio, play through Brotherhood.
If you really like Ezio, play through Brotherhood and Revelations. If you like Desmond, play through Brotherhood. If you really like Desmond, but you're tired of Ezio, play through Brotherhood and read/watch what happens to him in Revelations. Oh, and if you like Altaïr, read the books.
