How do you check software version?

I'm reading that some achievements are unachievable depending on the version that you have until the next update is pushed. I was one of the guys who managed to download the game early, but I don't know how to verify which version software I have on my phone. Anyone know where I can find this information?

I guess another question to ask is which version is worth working on, since it seems that the pre-release version might actually be harder.

Yes the newer version is the one you want to start on. The pre-release is unable to get update (v1.1). The latest update makes some levels easier to obtain gold and also makes getting the 1 million corn achievements faster (well it was supposed to but actually it doesnt, coming in another patch soon!).

You can see your version when you roll the credits. It is in the first couple lines.
