At least no difficulty cheevos. Co-op ones don't seem too bad if the drop in/out works well.

I really don't like co-op/online achievements but it won't stop it being a day 1 for me.

How many days exactly? (10 points)
Play Dead Island at least 28 days after starting it for the first time. ^^Start your xbox offline, change the date to 26, 27 (or 28 if you want it to be your first cheevo) days before the day it actually is. Make your first save. Back to dashboard, connect to live, date gets changed back to normal, start the game, tada Achievement with timestamp 28 days before everyone else that didn't think of that ![]()

they all look pretty straight forward to me. The game might actually be good enough to play for 28 days, but the date change method also works. Still can't wait.

i noticed the achievements for doing co-op with a few people, is there going to be a chapter select or will do u think u would have to do the co-op missions during 1 playthrough?
i have had a look about it but cannot find much info on it. |

How many days exactly? (10 points)
Play Dead Island at least 28 days after starting it for the first time. Oh I see what they did there. These achievement sound fun to get, and in my opinion, finding random people online to play co-op with is always pretty fun, so long as they aren't people who: A) Have no idea as to what to bloody do. B) Are 10 years or younger. C) Consistently, and I meant CONSISTENTLY, talk through the headset. But yeah, these achievements look fun, however challenging some may turn out to be. |

tbh none of the achievements that require co-op look like any skill is required. the only potential issue would be people dropping out cause some of them look a bit lengthy.

I don't see any that look like a pain like completing campaigns on expert in L4D. Also, why are so many people saying "cheevo/chievo"? It looks and sounds lazy.

I really want to like this game, but I can't stand the number of online/co-op achievements. I just want to enjoy the game, I don't like having to hunt down some random people I've never met and never will to spend hours of playtime with just to keep my percentage up. I'll probably still buy it, but the excessive co-op pushed this from a day 1 to 'eh, I'll wait for the review' game.

LOL at people that base their buying decisions on chievos. How about basing it on something like, I duno, maybe the game is good or might be fun to play? I look at chievos as something extra to do while I play, not the reason to play it. Most of it looks fairly easy anyway. Last edited by J4ckyb0y1; 07-29-2011 at 05:09 PM. |

In my opinion these are a good list of cheevos and maybe some of them will be funny to do.
Example: Exploring the island

Iīm fine with MP cheevos. My real problem with them is the fact that this game lacks of off-line multiplayer on split-screen or system link.
That really piss me off. Borderlands was cool in that way, okey only two players, but awesome anyway. They say this game canīt generate two world views at once and thatīs lame, the graphics donīt look so good to say itīs impossible. And apparently there will no be huge hordes of zombies, so why exactly was so hard to make split-screen co-op? It really suck they drop the possibility, Iīm sure that had ended up resulting in more sales. This is main reason Iīm not getting this game till is a real bargain. |

It's in the Jungle area which will be in Act III, there are a couple of quests that you receive that you can't actually finish immediately until you advance to the next Act.

i just understand sidequest cotinue depend on main quest(to show route in new act map) by quest receive from nikolai from act1 now im in act2,i have question about "oh, no you don't" achievement to kill ram with tackle skill i play xian and how to do a "tackle skill"? (i run to ram and yes...die as dumbass lol) ps.just unlocked 2 of this (i'm lv25 in act2) -10 heads are better than 1(kill 10 zombies in a row with headshots) my method: prepare one gun u like(i use revolver get from medicine shop floor) look around east of map, find 2 human enemy inside his barricade(white skull on map) kill both of him with headshot(when you headshot human enemy will be down by one shot) now u are in safe zone from zombies...don't get his gun now (wait for your gun out of ammo just walk to his gun to refill ammo to your gun) go outside and lure zombie,go back to safe zone shoot zombie head as you wish^^ -one is all i need(kill 5 infected in a row with a single blow) my method:recieve "radio gaga" sidequest and got 2 quest items when you turn to giver. zombie always run to you infinitely find spot near enegy vending machine(safety^^) wait zombies attack and counter him with 1 shot die(i use machete) just counter it 5 in a row...achievement pop! quit and continue tips for infinite items just found it useful for my certain point in act3:P you can do it like this at any checkpoint near item you want for free Last edited by hayabusaDGO; 09-07-2011 at 08:53 PM. |
