System Link achievements?

Does anyone know if the multiplayer achievements in this game can be boosted using System Link? Or do they have to be done through Live matches only?

They have to be done online.

Thanks. I've been looking for games that I can solo boost with 2 consoles. The only one I've found so far is The Darkness. Oh well.
