I'd go with probably. As far as I know the games sell decent numbers, and if they continue to use the same engine then I imagine that there's not much work to do on that side of things which cuts a lot of time off the development cycle.
On the other hand - what else is there to do? I can't really think of much that they could add.

Ya... The Skate games have been awesome, and have sold good numbers... No other skateboarding game has topped them yet, so hopefully!

There will not be a Skate 4 in the foreseeable future. EA opted not to renew their contract for the series when it expired in 2010. The best hope is that they resurrect it in the future for a new console/platform. Even if that were to magically happen, though, the core people who made the game what it was will, unfortunately, not be a part of the project.

As long as it doesn't turn into something like Tony Hawk, I'm all for it. I'd love to see more Skate games.

I'd love a game that had tricks bailing off just ridiculously high locations and various types of slides. Maybe rotating around some half-pipes and being shot down the front with a cannon? Or skating on the moon.
Yeah, as a realistic game Skate doesn't work that well but as a game like I described it would just be awesome!

the only reason id like a new skate is to have new places to skate!! im not bothered about new tricks or anything, same as i wasnt bothered from Skate 2 to 3 about the new tricks, it was just great to have a whole new city to skate, thats all i want. i've spent so many hours skating every damn ledge, stairset, handrail and skatepark in Port Carverton now!

I cant really think of anything they could add into the game other than new areas to skate.

I'd be all for it, although put the multiplayer back to how it was in skate 2.

Activision are putting out Tony Hawk in the coming weeks, so EA will want to win back fans by releasing another Skate game.
