It's still active. I see more people playing it on my friend's list than Call of Duty: Black Ops.

I see more people on my friends list playing this more than Black Ops. While it may not have as many people as the new CoD, there's still an active community.

mw2 is still very active and gets quite a few thousand a night atleast 60-70k which is quite alot and that only counting the time online(uk time) , even if mw3 becomes as popular as mw2/blackops i will still play mw2 and i think i wont be the only 1.

Yeah, it pulls a lot of people still, usually in the evenings.

On weekdays it lingers at 200,000. Weekends usaully near 300,000. At least when I play

Yeah same on my list. Now that MW3's release date is getting closer the number has doubled.

It's still pretty active, no problems finding games on any playlist. I play team-tac all the time and do tend to run into the same people each night (even though I avoid most of them because so many camp, n00btube, use modded pads or are in the States (so it's a crappy connection meaning it's hard/impossible to kill them))

Its got to the point where randomly play against the same people most nights. Kind of beneficial in a way as you know what they're going to be like as players.

Amen...sold my MW3 copy and only play with a group of 5 or more now.

Yes, there's a good amount that still plays.

I personally play this game over Black Ops because this game's hit detection is 50x more spot on than Badhitmarkers Ops.

MW3 was just so bland compared to MW2. MW2: More color (maps), more gun variety (it was like you could if you tried, dominate with any gun, since there was stopping power and other game changing perks)

Not as much camping since MW2 had a more "super-soldier" feel since you CAN go to town with any gun. I just had a game last night with an MG4 holo and go 21-12.

I deleted one of the map packs. It was garbage. Thinking abotu getting rid of the other one. The maps just aren't balanced as the retail ones.
