Too frustrating

I picked up this game for $4.96 and thought it'd be a fun game, especially for the price. Well I'm on Episode 2 and on the verge of breaking my disc. I'm on the flying part where you destroy the shielded UFOs. Every time I think I make a dent, either more UFOs show up or I get killed. I even changed it from 'Hardcore' to 'Normal' because of this.

Has anyone else been this frustrated with this game? Seriously thinking about chucking it out a window.

I seen the reviews of this game, to me some game's when they are cheap and have crappy reviews I don't even bother wasting my time on them because they are probably full of annoying sequences which in the end really makes it not worth my time. Good luck beating the game though don't break the disc though pass it on to fellow gamers to let them get a crack at that game lol..

I didn't have any trouble on this game on hardcore until the last couple of missions. I thought the achievement guide was great but for the author to say he only died twice for the entire game is nuts. I'm no gamer pro but I hold my own and there were a couple of checkpoints that took me 10+ tries alone. IMO, the author of the achievement guide on this site is either a gaming god or is full of shit. I just kept going and stating focused and finished the main story in about 6 or 7 hours. Don't quit, just hijack a UFO, shoot the shields off of a couple of the shielded UFOs, ditch the UFP you are flying, hijack another UFO, rinse and repeat.

that whole section of the game is a piss you off section, but you'll get use to it, i'd play it on easy first so you know exactly how to do it, i beat it on all the difficulties just moving up to the next one so i'd gradually get better, and because the pts i just didn't like sitting there farming points from one lvl.
