Servers closing?

Just wondering what the lifespan on COD3 servers are... I just picked up the game but I haven't had much initiative to play it yet. Do you think its servers will close anytime soon, seeing how old this game is?

i played a few games last night, seemed pretty busy to me, no trouble finding a game. So i wouldn't worry just yet.

though, if you're looking to get the Online Acheivements, you'd better get started, just in case...

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I wanted to finish COD2 first but I might as well get the onlines out of the way for 3 first

Are people still playing this online? I just got the game from a friend this week and want to knock off the online achievements quickly.

Hope they dont close it, i still play it. They can close cod 2 as its died online.

I know I'm coming back to this over a year later. But whatever.

Call of duty doesn't have servers like EA. So they aren't super expensive to run. I doubt they'll close them.

If you know anything about the COD series, the servers won't close. It's not like EA servers. I still play COD4 on-line and there are TONS of people still playing it. So I'd say at least 5-8 years

Takes a while. Easiest to find 3-4 people and boost the online achievement. There might be a thread for it.
