*The difficulty and time it will take you to complete this game, like any puzzle game, will be greatly influenced on how fast you can grasp the solution to a puzzle. This combined with how much you use guides will determine hard and consequently how fast you complete them game.

**I strongly recommend that you avoid using guides on puzzles, unless you are really stuck. Solving each section yourself is part of the fun.


Background: The Odd Gentlemen, a developer headquartered in Los Angeles, Calif., originally created The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom as a student thesis project at the University of Southern California. The game chronicles the villainous P.B. Winterbottom's quest as he swipes pies using his extraordinary time-bending abilities to cooperate with, compete against, and disrupt his past, present, and future selves.

General tips: provided by Cryptic Shock

*Look at what is given in each level as everything given is normally used. For example all switches are used in order to progress, you can't use just a few of the items given in order to complete the puzzle (in most cases).
*When starting a new chapter test out the mechanics of the powers so that you fully understand how they can be used.
*If stuck try another puzzle, staying on one frustrating puzzle will only increase your anger and be detrimental to the solution.
*For the time trials remember to say that although you can complete each challenge separately, there is normally ONE solution and that will get both challenges completed at the same time.


Level Completion Achievements.
Winterbottom has five main levels, each level is then made up of ten puzzles (With the exception of the "Savory Solutions" level, which has eleven).

Levels are called movies in the game and can be accessed through the theater. You can revisit levels after you beat them at any time. (Think of how Braid is set up)

Hungry Bottom - 10
"Complete the "Savory Salutations" movie level."
This is the first level of the game. After you complete the puzzle "New Talents", this achievement will unlock.

Ticking Bottom - 10
"Complete the "The Ticking Tarts" movie level."
This is the second level of the game. After you complete the puzzle "The Final Countdown", this achievement will unlock.

Burnt Bottom - 10
"Complete the "Dangerously Delicious!" movie level."
This is the third level of the game. After you complete the puzzle "Douse It Good", this achievement will unlock.

Soggy Bottom - 10
"Complete the "Spelunking for Sweets" movie level."
This is the fourth level of the game. After you complete the puzzle "The Great Escape", this achievement will unlock.

Stuffed Bottom - 50
"Complete all 5 movie levels"
This is the last level of the game. Once you beat the puzzle "Just Desserts", you will have completed the story mode and this achievement will be yours.

Challenge Completion Achievements.
Along with the five story movie levels, Winterbottom also includes five challenge levels called Bonus Shorts. Every time you complete a movie level in the story mode, you will unlock it's corresponding bonus short.

Each bonus short level has five puzzles for a grand total of 25 puzzles. Each puzzle has a required time to solve it under and a set number of clones you're allowed to create.

It is important to understand that you do NOT need to complete both challenges at the same time. You can complete the time portion of the puzzle and then go back and focus on the amount of clones you use.

Thinking Bottom - 10
"Complete 10 recording challenges in the bonus shorts"

Conservative Bottom - 15
"Complete 20 recording challenges in the bonus shorts"

Smacked Bottom - 10
"Complete 10 time challenges in the bonus shorts"

Greedy Bottom - 40
"Complete all recording and time challenges in the bonus shorts"
There are a total of 25 challenged in the bonus shorts. You will need to complete the time portion and the clone portion for each challenge to get this to unlock.

Remember you do NOT need to go for these at the same time. So when you are working on the clone portion, you can take as much time as you need to complete the challenge. Likewise, when you are working on the time portion feel free to create as many clones as you want to get the level done as fast as possible.

Misc. Achievements.

Hot Pie Bottom - 10
"Steal 10 pies."

It will not take you very long to come across 10 pie to collect since this is the purpose of the game. This will be the first achievement you unlock. Pies are stolen by simply touching them unless otherwise stated. (Some puzzles require that only your clone can collect the pie, or an evil clone, etc.)

Evil Bottom - 10
"Burn, smash or erase 50 clones."

You will unlock this achievement rather quickly through normal play. However, if you're feeling a bit impatient, once you gain the ability to create clones you can spam this. Hold the RT trigger to create a clone and then hit the "Y" button to erase it. Rinse and repeat 49 more time and the achievement is yours.

Cryptic Shock also mentioned that after you complete a puzzle you can hit "Y" repeatedly to delete any clones you have remaining.

If you ever have trouble finding out how to do a certain puzzle I'd suggest you use this youtube. It gives many solutions. http://www.youtube.com/user/darkshadows6#g/u
