The Quick 1000s (or close to)
This is the Quick 1000 (or close to) section. You must realize that this is a simple guideline. This is not a definitive list that will guarantee you completing the game in the categories provided. As such, please take this list with a grain of salt and realize that you may or may not finish the game completely, that you will disagree with many things on here, and that you may finish it quicker or slower than most. The more research done in terms of utilizing the forums found here, the quicker a game can be completed. So please, enjoy the list and read everything carefully.
Thanks to PerpetualHeaven for creating this list. Please do:- • Shout if you think these guidelines aren't fair. • Post how long it took you to attain the amount listed next to criteria 2 for any games shown below. Please do not:- • Post anything along the lines of "I agree with <something already on the main list>". • Get into petty arguments over how fast a game should or should not take. The criteria is here for a reason. Criteria:- To clarify exactly what qualifies as a "Quick 1000 (or close to)":- (1) The game must take no more than 25 hours to attain the GS amount listed under (2) It is possible to attain at least 900 points. (3) The word easy or not easy will not put a game on or off this list. If it exceeds the number of hours in (1) then it is automatically disqualified. (B) Denotes games that may require boosting for them to be termed as a quick 1000. (C) Denotes games that require collecting of various objects. *Denotes a game that can be done under 2 hours. If you've completed any of the games listed within the "Under Discussion" section post your thoughts on whether or not they're a quick 1000, or feel free to suggest anything not listed. The abandoned are games that did not make either list or have not yet been discussed. Games are not listed in order of difficulty within the subcategories. The Quick 1000 (or close to) list:- Under 5 Hours:-

Soldier of Fortune: Payback can be added to the 15-25 hour section. Also make sure to add requires boosting.

Good job Roxy, some nice improvements already. Although it's sad that Perp can no longer steward this thread, I know it's in good hands now. All that said some improvements I would suggest:
- For Deadliest Catch you may want to note that it takes 8 people to boost the game. - Asterix at the Olympics is not linked (you may be working on this and I'm just catching you while you're in the process. If so sorry )- You may want to make a note on some of the older games that don't have a possible 1000 points on them like Condemned and Lord of the Rings:BFME2.

it looks great roxy nice work. I think the reason that asterix doesnt have a link is because there is no guide.

Even with boosting, the online ones would take longer than 20 hours wouldn't they? Or is there an exploit I haven't heard about? |

How is Beautiful Katamari on the list?
That game takes 40+ hours excluding the 100 hour achievement.

I think I would like to vote for LOTR:BFME 2 to be removed from the list.
1. It's not even 1000 points ![]() 2. The road-map for it states 25-40 hours 3. I just beat the good campaign last night, and after all was said and done, it took me almost 4 and a half hours just to beat the last level. There's one other level that would take (probably) just as long, and it take around 6-7 hours just to boost if I remember correctly, which is 15+ right there, and I'd say at least 40ish minutes for the remaining 14 levels each would be well over 25, and at least 3 or 4 of those levels probably take anywhere from 2-3 hours each. I guess it's possible to do it in 15-25, but on average, it probably takes longer, or so close to 25 it couldn't really be considered "quick." Just my take on it though, no big deal if people think otherwise

How about breaking the 15-25, into 15-20 and 20-25?

The games that are in the 15-25 are generally, from my experience, a lot more indecisive on whether they can be definitively put into 15-20 or 20-25. When playing those games, most people can finish them in the lower or upper range depending on what they do. It's very broad, yes, but it gives the gamer a better idea of what to expect. Tomb Raider Underworld, for example, can be done in 18 hours or so (w/ DLC), but I'm sure plenty of people might finish it in mid-to-upper 20s.

Yeah, there's no way dude. Some of those games can actually fluctuate from 15-25 depending on luck and player skill. Splitting it up would cause more arguments than anything. Just consider the list 1-10 is fast, 10-15 is medium, and 15-25 are the longer games on the list. These are just approximations though since people tend to claim to beating games faster than is feasible for a first time player on that game. The games may take you 2-5 hours longer than the list suggests, so be warned.

Some will take longer than stated but most should be right on the spot. I have done games faster but some have taken a lot longer like Dead to Rights Retribution which took me ridiculous amount of time compared to what is on the roadmap.
Take the times only as a guideline and not as a rule of thumb. |

Wow Bionic Commando is in the 10-15 hours list. I thought the game took longer than that but cool.

Definitely took me longer than that but I played it through twice (normal difficulty to do all the challenges and get all the collectables, then a hard run), in theory if you played it once on hard mode and did everything then it's 10-15 hours but I certainly wouldn't have been able to do that.

just a quick thing i'd like to mention, but Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon (in the 10-15 section) needs a (C) next to it because that game requires a TON of collecting.

I agree with this. A guide is highly recommended if you want all of the collectibles.
