DarkCreations
Getting the hang around the whole sig artwork now, so feel free to request one if you like my work. I'm still currently learning from tutorials but in good time i'll be trying a lot of new creations. All i ask is that you credit my name under the work to show that you have not stolen it for yourself. Criticism and Advice is welcome! Enjoy! If you would like any of these signatures, just ask and i'll put your gamertag or name on it. All requested signatures that are made come with a request from me also, credit to me underneath that signature Signatures... http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/1236/assassinscreedfreetimej.jpg http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/5220/eliteshadowmandisturbed.png http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/8652/x360abanner.png Entry banner for "The Microsoft Mega-Extravaganza Super EU Console Giveaway!" http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/2404/darksiders.png http://a.imageshack.us/img121/8896/halo2x.png http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/6408/hulk.png http://a.imageshack.us/img217/8583/jazztransformers.png http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/7416/falloutnewvegas.png http://a.imageshack.us/img201/209/konmiomusic.png http://a.imageshack.us/img267/5990/bioshock.png http://a.imageshack.us/img180/5899/wolverinec.png http://a.imageshack.us/img375/7701/gambit.png http://a.imageshack.us/img251/792/obliviondark.png http://a.imageshack.us/img248/3700/dantesinferno.png http://a.imageshack.us/img826/8317/crysist.png http://a.imageshack.us/img191/5856/haloreachnoble.png http://a.imageshack.us/img245/5856/haloreachnoble.png http://i38.tinypic.com/2119wjl.png http://a.imageshack.us/img826/5495/metroido.png http://i36.tinypic.com/2rlyvpy.png http://i38.tinypic.com/10zcsu9.png http://i34.tinypic.com/2jetz4o.png http://i37.tinypic.com/1zdohmo.png http://i33.tinypic.com/r2mbk0.png http://i35.tinypic.com/2gv37k2.png http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/7051/slyvesterandtweetyweb.png http://a.imageshack.us/img821/9463/sotw1x360a.png Edited August 25, 2010 by DarkCreations
BiffTech
Yup, keep on with them tuts... they'll help you a lot. You'll find a lot on deviant art, some of which are very good. Keep an eye out for psd packs aswell. They'll help you to be able to see what you're trying to achieve as you build up each layer of your design. I've also seen it written on another forum, that entering competitions is a good way to improve aswell, as this will push you to perform. Anyway, I look forward to seeing some of your work when you're ready to post them

Thanks for the advice though. I'll look into competitions and sign up to various forums and what not to improve too

DarkCreations
A little updating with 3 sigs. 2 were requests though and very simple to make but still They're simple yet effective i think.
jtr1gg3r
The second of the req's is better it looks finished whereas the other one just looks like text on a bg =P (but that was the req anyway so no complaints) The AC one is real nice, its got a great flow and nice smudging (bg), your better than me at it I think it needs a c4d to finish it, but you've only just started so I dont expect you to know how to do stuff like that =P Good work so far Edited July 19, 2010 by jtr1gg3r
DarkCreations
Another update, I tried a different size this time but i'm liking it for its simplicity!
MasonW94
with a more fitting BG the new one could be really good, it's your best so far though my friend, keep it up
DarkCreations
Another single update, but a new attempt overall - Pop Out. It's only because i found a good image that would work well, and thus i thought i'd give it a try.
jtr1gg3r
I love the new one, its a bit bigger than it needs to be, but its looks fine as it is, all I would say is next time you do like a motion blur (like on the cage) If you havent already go and read a tut on doing it. The blur you have is good, its just there are different techniques and you can make the blur more subtle and improve on what you already have. Well done tho the actual pop-out of it is fantastic imo. Real original too

Real original too Thanks and i'll have a look about for some blur tips, incase i do need it again. Also, got a new signature, a plain and simple Borderlands/Lilith signature with an out of focus background and sharp Lilith image in front. jtr1gg3r
The borderlands one is simple, but effective. The depth is great with the blurring, but thats all it is =/ I would remove the effect on the text, it doesnt look right, if you do that you got a nice sig there Id try starting something a little more advanced soon, since you've got the basics
DarkCreations
A couple updates. The crash bandicoot. I was slightly bored so it became simple, the background was actually made and smudged slightly all by my self (only the one image - Crash himself). Cloud brushes helped a lot though. The Harley Quinn is what i just made, and i tried out a couple new style/techniques - Background "scan" lines and the Gotham City background just has reduced opacity so i could apply the blue/red gradient (Harley Quinn's colours). I also think the quote and its text style work quite nicely. But that's just my opinion. Criticism will be much appreciated
jtr1gg3r
well the crash one is what it says on the tin, so its great for that. The gotham one doesnt really have any flow for me, you could have smudged the focal in and Id have lowered the opacity of the gradient Also the scan lines look out of place, but im not gonna start going on about them, because I haven't even mastered them yet

Also with the scan lines i just reduced the opacity even more (something around 15%) and placed them behind the front image, so it only applied to the background. I think i'm better off doing backgrounds like this, rather than just using plain brushes all the time. EDIT: I think this will be my main style from now on. I'll do a few more of these and re-edit my first post with these types and then the odd others, like my pop out for definite. DarkCreations
Ok So i have a few more updates. Darksiders http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/2404/darksiders.png Halo 2 http://a.imageshack.us/img121/8896/halo2x.png The Hulk http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/6408/hulk.png I didn't want to add the scan lines to all of them, so i didn't apply them to the Hulk sig. Criticism will be, once again, much appreciated Edited July 24, 2010 by DarkCreations

DarkCreations
Glad you like them Another couple updates that i've just done. Jazz from Transformers http://a.imageshack.us/img217/8583/jazztransformers.png Bioshock http://a.imageshack.us/img267/5990/bioshock.png I was initially going to put "When Little Sisters really need their Big Daddies" but then it sorta sounded like a TV show and cheesy so i decided not to! DarkCreations
Sounds good. Goodnight. Here's the Fallout one. It was kinda hard to smudge the character into the background because a lot of the colours already blended together, so i made it work like a camera. Blurred Background, Sharpened Focal. I also used a "Sprayed Stoke" filter on the background to make it look more watery and rainy, but not sure on that tbf. Any changes let me know as i'll keep the PSD for a while. http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/7416/falloutnewvegas.png
