Killing DLC challenges definately counts to the 80 for the achievement. Just the multiplayer to complete now and it's 1500/1500.

BUT you MUST quit back to the main menu for the stats to be saved. I lost ~70 melee kills because my xbox froze, when I booted back up they were all gone.
