hey not sure if anyone has got all these yet but I am stuck on one where it is in a building and you go down a couple ladders it is a really big root but it is behind a metal blocker. there is a machine that you can turn on and off to swing these pipes around. I know you have to somehow use those pipes to catch it on fire but i cant figure it out! anyone remember this one?

Same problem...Please someone help us! I've tried launching the molotov and attaching them on the pipes and shooting at them, while the pipes are spinning, but it doesn't seem work.

Here is how i did it.

1st get a taped molotov cocktail, turn on the machine so that the big metal piece is in the centre, light your molotov and aim aim at the big metal piece, Run back to the switch turn it on so the machine starts turning. When the molotov is near the root turn off the machine and let it burn.

hi!i can't kill the roots of evil near the lake.I mean...the one that is elevated on a big rock!i've tried to launch an explosive bottle but it doesn't lights up.
what can i do?
edit:i have the same problem the next on that road...i can see an electrified rope but it's too high to reach

with your 2nd one- throw a sticky lit molotov at the creatures on the rope, it should explode on their way up

not sure which one you're stuck on for first though

These are the two I'm struggling getting actually. Thanks for the tip with the rope one, never thought of doing that.

The other one is further up the same road to the right on the map. It's elevated and has a burning car at the bottom.

I take everything still works ok if you miss them first time thru but then go back and replay a chapter

Ok there should be another rock which looks like a ramp near the rock with the burning car on it, so what you need to do is drive a car of the rock which looks like a ramp and you should land on the other rock then the burning car should launch into the root. Hope i helped :)

I'm in level 8 and there's a root that's like on an island and it's too far for me to throw a bottle, how do I do this?

Edit : found it, you have to take ramp southwest of the root and jump out right as you're about to take the jump because if you stay in the car you die... And then of course shoot the gas tank of your car.

I never jumped out of a car for any of mine :p

Lol, I'm very curious how you did it then? because I've asked a friend on my list and he jumped out of his car too...

How many of the roots are there anyone have a list of how many and what chapters(sequences) as I'm just starting chapter 6 and have only got the 3 roots on chapter 3 in the building in Central Park, burning the 3 of them put my vision malarky up to 6/100. Just any sorta tips would be cool. Thanks.

So far I just used my map, as far as I know once you see them on the map you can destroy all roots on that level and none will be added during the level..

How do I get the one on top of a statue? There are few Vampirz floating around. No Idea how to get this, it's too far away to throw a bottle at.

Which level are you talking about?

He's talking about the far left, top corner of the map. There should be a little stand close with loads of stuff you can use. I think (can't remember), I used some sort of bomb and threw it and shot it mid air when it was close.

If it's the top left corner of the map, it's like Webb said. Just try standing some where else and throw a bottle

Does anybody else thinks these root of evil take too much time? It's taking me more time to get all the trees than the story itself...

Yeah, agreed. They weren't really much of a chore though. There must be only be like 30 or so locations.

Can't wait till someone puts up a map/guide/chapter location. I'm really struggling to come across any :(

Exactly it was mostly figuring out how to get a certain root of evil. In the last level it's also a matter of driving around much trying to find a way to get to those stupid roots lol.

Yeah, there were a few that I was a.) either struggling for equipment to protect myself and burn the root or b.) working out some elaborate plan to get the bitch to burn :p

On Chapter 8, they all appear on the map. Don't worry about them till then.

Yeah. I did a few on Chapter 7 and left the rest for Chapter 8.
