Introduction
Shark Dash is a 2D physics-based puzzle game in which you are tasked with destroying ducks in a bathtub with different types of sharks. The sharks are launched in a technique not unlike Angry Birds, but you can re-launch them even after making impact. There are 108 total levels across four worlds. The challenge is to get all three stars on each level. One star is earned for killing all the ducks (which completes the level), one for collecting all of the coins scattered across the level, and one for completing the level in a certain number of shots. Luckily no achievements are directly related to these stars. Currently the game is listed at $1.99 in the Windows 8 Store.

Step 1: Play through the levels
Play through the levels up until Hotel Level 21. You need 100 stars to unlock the Hotel world. Otherwise, you can ignore them completely. This is the last level that is needed for the miscellaneous achievements. See the guide if you wish to earn the miscellaneous achievements along the way. Many of them will come with little to no effort and without trying.

Step 2: Mop-up miscellaneous achievements
Complete whatever miscellaneous achievements you may have left. There may be a lot, but they can all be completed in a very short amount of time on specific levels. See the guide for the best levels and strategies.

Conclusion
Shark Dash is a simple yet fun Windows 8 game and is currently the cheapest and one of the quickest to complete. Luckily none of the achievements are directly related to earning stars. This makes the game a breeze. All of the achievements can be earned with little trouble in less than 3 hours.


GUIDE

Eat 3 or more ducks in a single shot.

First obtainable on Home Level 1. Just fire the Shark straight upward with full power, eating all three of the ducks on the level.

First obtainable on Home Level 3. Aim the Shark towards the orange pillar on the left at full power. Concentrate on hitting the second dot from the bottom of the pillar. This will cause the pillar to tip and the duck to fall into the Shark's mouth.

Jump through a Rubber Ring.

First obtainable on Home Level 4. From the start, just fire the Shark upwards through the green striped ring.

Make an inflatable block explode.

First obtainable on Home Level 5. Just fire the Shark ahead through the ring and into the inflatable block (clear one) to pop it.

Release a duck from it's bubble underwater.

First obtainable on Home Level 11. If you do nothing at the start of the level, it will unlock when a soap block falls immediately and releases the three underwater ducks.

Free a Shark and return him to the water.

First obtainable in Japan Level 7. Fire the blue Shark to the left along the surface of the water into the floating orange block. The red Shark will become free and float to the surface, unlocking this achievement.

Cut 3 or more bath chains in a single shot.

First obtainable on Japan Level 16. From the start, launch the Shark up through the chain on the right, arcing it so it lands in the top of the tube on the right. The Shark will fly around through the level, cutting the other two chains and unlocking this achievement. It works best if you land the Shark directly on the sponge before having it slowly roll into the top of the tube.

Also easily obtainable on Japan Level 18. Use your first shot to position the Shark between the brown block and orange pillar right in front of you at the start. Then, fire the Shark up and to the right, cutting both chains holding the purple salt block and the next one holding the Rubber Ring. This may take a few tries to get the angle right.

Launch a ball through a Rubber Ring.

First obtainable on Home Level 17. From the start, launch the Shark STRAIGHT up at full power. This will knock both balls off the edge into the Rubber Rings, unlocking this achievement.

Pop 9 or more bubbles in a single shot.

First obtainable on Home Level 20. From the start, launch the Shark through the inflatable block to the right, collecting the 3 ducks and right into the 6 mines that are all encased in bubbles. You will die, but you will also unlock the achievement.

Make a block rotate more than 1,000 degrees.

1,000 degrees is just shy of three complete spins. This achievement is easily obtainable on Hotel Level 15. Launch the orange Shark down and to the left towards the corner at full power. Use the Shark's power-up (by tapping or clicking the screen) to move upward and hit the circular floating block. The circular block will fly up, destroy the mine, then roll out of the tub. At some point while it is spinning and falling off screen, this achievement should unlock. This may take a couple tries to get the round block rolling correctly.

Launch a block outside the bathtub.

You just need to knock a block out of the bathtub. This is easily obtainable on Japan Level 2. From the start, launch the Shark directly at one of the green soap blocks resting on the outer ledges of the bathtub, knocking it over the edge.

Make 7 or more mines explode consecutively.

First obtainable on Home Level 19. From the start, launch the Shark to the right destroying the inflatable block. This will cause the mine to roll down and destroy the other 5 mines, unlocking the achievement. Even though only 6 total mines are destroyed, the achievement unlocks.

Eat 6 ducks underwater in a single shot.

This is one of the trickiest achievements in the game. The best level to attempt this on is Home Level 11. You need to fire the shark at full power towards the closest group of three underwater ducks, aiming for the middle one. Your Shark will eat all three of those ducks. You also need to time it so the green soap block that automatically falls at the beginning of the level hits your Shark while underwater to push it to eat the other three ducks. This will take many attempts just to get the timing right. See the video below:

Make a shark jump by hitting him from below.

This achievement is most easily obtainable on Japan Level 10. Just launch the Shark into the left entrance to the tube (send the Shark underwater and have it float back up into the tube). The Shark will fly out of the tube and smash into the other Shark and some mines. You will die, but the achievement will unlock.

Have 3 ducks jump directly into the shark's mouth.

This is most easily obtainable on Hotel Level 21. First launch the orange Shark to the left so it is out of the way. Then use it to destroy the inflatable block at the bottom to free the blue Shark. Then shoot the orange Shark up to destroy the inflatable block in the middle. A ball will fall, knocking all four ducks in the tunnel down into the blue Shark's mouth. Be outside the water for more than 7 sec.

You need to get the Shark to stay out of the water for 7 seconds. It also has to be in motion as if it stops the level will be failed. This achievement can easily be obtained on Japan Level 6. Your first objective from the start of the level is to use any number of shots to cut the chain holding the green block. Then, launch the Shark at full power into any of the tube openings. Your Shark will get trapped spinning in a figure-eight pattern for a good 10 seconds or more, easily unlocking this achievement.

Destroy 3 or more inflatables in a single shot.

This achievement is most easily obtainable on Hotel Level 17. First, arch the Shark from the start over the stack of two inflatable blocks landing before the cluster of mines. Then dive down to hit the sprayfish, which will launch the ball into the mines. Then launch your Shark at full power into the upper entrance of the piping. This will launch your Shark through all three inflatables on the level, unlocking the achievement.

Alternative method: Hotel Level 8: Right at the start, fire the shark at full speed to the right, towards the middle of the closest orange pillar. If done right, the tall, thin inflatables can pop when hitting the water of if the mine explodes. This shot is more difficult to pull off that the first method. Thanks to habs14 for the method.

You can also attempt this achievement earlier in the game on Japan Level 14, however, that level is much more tricky. Thanks to slafferty for the tip.

First obtainable on Hotel Level 6. From the start, launch the Shark at full power into the left side of the closest sprayfish. There will be a chain-reaction and all three will be activated (spray a stream of water upwards), unlocking this achievement.

Bounce 7 times or more during a single shot.

First obtainable on Home Level 8. Use your first shot to break the inflatable block. Wait for the orange block to fall down flat. Then launch your Shark into the tube system so it bounces back and forth repeatedly before falling out. It may take a few tries to get to 7 before falling out.

Receive 3 or more impacts in the same shot.

An impact is when one Shark hits another one. There is a specific sound for when this occurs. This is obtainable on Japan Level 5. For the first shot, fire the Shark on the right under the mines so it is next to the left Shark. From this point, just keep gently launching whatever Shark is to the right on top of the other Shark's head on the left while it is next to the wall or ball. You need to get the Shark to sort-of balance on top of the other one's head so it can keep bouncing. It is easy to get 2 impacts with this method, but within a few tries you can get 3 or 4.

3/20/13 - Found easier or earlier levels to do the "A Little Nudge" and the "Cutter Shark" achievements. Added those methods to the guide.Also, lowered the completion time from 2-3 hours to 1-3 hours.

What's the process for submitting them? I only have a few but I think you should definitely start submitting your ones Arsenic. You have so many Windows Phone ones now it would be good for people to be able to save their progress while using the guides rather then having two windows open like I do a lot of the time.

I am confused what you mean Isaac about two windows? Submission is not too bad, but takes some time. I personally have never done it. Also the guides need to be written in a certain manner, which to me is unintuitive for what is they best way to go about earning them. I like to group the achievements by their type to make it easier or by the order you should unlock them in the games. I cant stand guides that are just a mess of achievements in seemingly random order that you have to jump around scrolling all the time to figure out what you should be doing next. End rant.

Completely understand you on that point. Guides that are all over the place don't help a great deal. Especially when you come across an achievement or even several that could have been done at an earlier level or should have been done. :mad:

Party Pooper is possible on Japan 14. Just got mine there. Shoot the shark on the left up to the top right. Take out the two up there then fall down into the other shark and that one into the third inflatable.

Thanks for the tip. While I can see that it is possible on that particular level, it is not easy and seems to require luck. I couldnt get it to work after about 30 attempts or more.

For "Party Pooper" I got this playing on hotel level 8. Right at the start pull back your shark for full speed and he will knock of the first inflatable bringing the other shark done and the other platforms will fall causing the other to pop.

Thanks for the tip added. Only because it is in an earlier level in the game. It is more difficult to do than the orginal solution however. Took me many tried and I only got it a few times. It seems you need to get the mine to explode, which it doesnt always (hardly ever) does. Cheers though.

It may be nice to note, I was able to beat it in 1h40m, and Hotel 15 was my last level. I used my credits to skip from Hotel-10 through Hotel-14.
