if you need the 2 co-op achievements, you can do it locally with 2 controllers. And i think, you can replay level 1 5 times and you will get the achievement aswell.

I've just been playing locally with 2 controllers.. Sure, one of the characters just sits there and does nothing but I find the AI more or less ignores the 2nd player and doesn't attack or kill them, plus, if doing it this way, every time you get 1 skill token dropped, you get 1 for both Rick and Lori, essentially cutting the amount of time it takes to level both characters up to max in half.
