"A" ending achievement, the very easy way !
 

Here is the exact alternative to Donkey Lips strategy to unlock the "A" ending achievement, I'd say the easy way:

Turn the following EX options on:
Gun Power: up
Auto-Gun: on
Secret Mission: Always

In order to unlock the "secret mission" setting, you have to clear 20 emergency orders (it's cumulative).

When you have done that, start an arcade game and play until secret levels, shoot down the missiles and you'll unlock "A" ending achievement ;)

If you're doing this way, you don't even have to care about the "Targets" from the following stages :

- Stage 3 Canyon Grandeur
- Stage 6S Golden Valley
- Stage 8B Forgotten Glory
- Stage 13B Nuclear Arsenal

This method worked like a charm. Thanks for putting it into simple terms. Going by all the issues people have with this ending, I was really worried I wouldn't get it. Pretty surprised at how easy it is with this method actually.

Thanks a bunch, got this and the rest in just about an hour, easiest achievements.

Actually you don't even have to clear them. Upon beating the game three times I had 16 done, though I only technically cleared 3. So this will come without you even trying any method, really no trick to it at all it's auto programmed into the game so the more you play, the easier things get.

I still do not get this.... I play thru the game and try my best... but this is the only achievement that I have not been able to get... any other advice or explanation of exactly what are the requirements of an "a" ranking?>

You have just to go in the EX Options Menu, and turn these ones ON, to make the thing easier:
Gun Power: up
Auto-Gun: on
Secret Mission: Always

Now, start an arcade game, and play until you reach the secret mission (final stage). Then, you just have to shoot down the missiles (if you don't, you won't get the A ending), and you're done ;)

As I said, you don't have to care about the targets in the stages 3, 6S, 8B, 13B with this strategy.

Just got this. Gun Power:Up isnt even necessary. You'll only need Auto-Gun: On and
Secret Mission: Always to do it.
