Thank you for the complement on Bionic Commando. It is my most gratifying game completion I have. It was my favorite game on the original NES and because of that, I was determined to get good enough to beat super hard. If you ever decide to go back and try again, I would harvest extra lives from the levels I already completed (get the doll then call for evac) before attempting the next unbeaten level. Every level but Level 0 has one. It will give you more men to work with. It helps alot, but its still no walk in the park. I started the final level with 23 lives (I think), which is the max, and beat the final boss with only 2 lives left.
Maybe it's time to stop not doing what you pretended you can do and can't, and start doing the thing that you can't do, but can no longer pretend that you can.
