DNF was developed in under 3 years by a shitty incompetent team who couldn't handle the demands.

I had an apologist tell me that perhaps Gearbox aren't using the story from the Director's Cut, but I shut him up real quick by pointing out that they're putting in the sentry guns. I also mentioned that with how much Gearbox are playing up what fans of the film they are, to ignore the Director's Cut is flat out disingenuous. Any true fan of Aliens knows those additional 17 minutes are pure fucking gold.

Anyway, glad to see someone else out there is paying attention...

Yeah, as I suspected, you have the same problems I do with their story. There shouldn't even BE a Hadley's Hope, which more or less signals that Gearbox are just using people's love of the film to try and get them to buy the game.

So, where did this part of the installation built right next to the fucking derelict come from? It certainly wasn't there when Burke had Newt's folks drive out to it (incidentally, the small size of the vehicle they used implies that the derelict was close to Hadley's Hope, probably within the 30km radius). And if it were there, when Newt's dad shows up with a facehugger, instead of calling for help, they would've, y'know, taken him to the part of the installation that's right there and all.

I call major bullshit on this.

All I've ever seen of Gackt's "contributions" are signatures he's made for others, but then I don't follow his every move like others clearly do. And you're right, he does come off as a bit of a troll at times, especially when he goes off on a rant about Bethesda... *yawn*

AAAAAAAnyway...

I forgot to ask you about Aliens: Colonial Marines. You mentioned that they fucked up the story, but didn't want to go into it. I, for one, have been complaining about things that don't fit with the story in the movie for months now, and get nothing but apologists who want me to lower my standards.

So I'm kind of curious about what you have to say.

I've often felt that Gackt is just contrary to be contrary so he feels better about himself.
