1) You're saving it as a .gif which is all round poorer quality than a jpeg.

2) I assume you're using something like paint to save it which always gives saved images a grainy appearance.

3) Try using photoshop and tweaking the image quality a little (when saving as a jpeg)

4) if you need further help try sending me the raw image as a bmp and i'll see what i can do.

If I undrstand this correctly, there is a save point where you are stuck?
Save there but on a Different slot.
Go to the 360 dash and delete the save you've been loading all this time, your only save up untill this point.
When you go and load the 2nd save I had you made, problem solved.
You often have to get sneaky with these corrupt saves
