It was originally going to be just "The Beatles" game. They added Rock Band as a sub script afterward for the sake of making it recognizable as a Rock Band product.
As far as the order itself, calling it Rock Band: The Beatles makes it sound like a cheap expansion pack while calling it The Beatles: Rock Band emphasizes it as a standalone platform. It's subtle, I know, but that's how a lot of people's minds work.

I think Marvel vs Capcom is released on June 29th not 100% positive about that though
